    Fabulous farce

by ninjamama on 2015-12-26Union Square Theatre - New York

4 actors = 150 characters = phenomenally funny. Fast paced. Hilarious. Actors embraced their many characters. Some improv, some playing off the audience and many types of theatrical methods and tricks. This show is a must see. It has been revamped and is funnier than the previous show I saw a few years ago which was more like a murder mystery. This up close and personal off-Broadway show will make your face hurt as you'll either be smiling or laughing. Enjoy!!

hilarious from start to (almost) finish

by sima606 on 2015-08-18Union Square Theatre - New York

As someone who has seen the Hitchcock film several times, I didn't not know what to expect of this show which I knew was a parody or send up. Nothing prepared me for the jawdropping hilariousness of this piece that amazingly incorporates not only exact dialogue from the film, but camera shots! The character/costume changes were a dizzying tour de force that kept us all laughing without pause. it was only till the very end of the play that it got a bit derailed and some of the energy slipped. A very small quibble though for a perfect evening of entertainment. Highly recommended to all! See the film first (it's on youtube) to fully appreciate the cleverness of the staging! (And brush up on your Hitchcock!)

I would highly recommend this show, very funny, fast moving, and would appeal to everyone. Theatre a little chilly so bring a sweater. Great venue, nice theatre, easy to get to.
