I would love to hear her perform in Toronto at Roy Thomson hall for the acoustics. All the other venues that are in the arenas do not give Justice to the type of serene music she represents.
I grew up listening to this phenomenal singer, she was my introduction to mysticism and humanity. The opportunity to listen to her live is beyond transformational, where all the language, religious, cultural barriers vanish and you see your own reflection in everyone and everything around you. The artist, the audience and the mood blended so harmoniously together at this concert that it seemed like a true mystical experience. Abida Parveen was at her most gracious and skilful self and very interactive with the audience who in turn were respectful in a way that is owed to this great artist. The event was superbly organized and managed. An unforgettable experience.
