    Africa Umoja

    by IslandGirl14 on 2013-08-17Elgin Theatre - Toronto

Africa Umoja, WOW!! . What can I say. It was wonderful, fantastic, a most enlightening musical event. I saw Africa Umoja 5 years ago and was delighted to learn they were back in Toronto, with many younger cast members. The music, the singing, the humour, and of course the dancing was "out of this world". I thoroughly enjoyed it and would definitely go back when they visit Toronto again, Oh, I must not forget the wonderful, colorful clothing worn by the performers.

    4th time and still great

by dougaway on 2013-08-15Elgin Theatre - Toronto

This has to be one of the most amazing shows ever. This was the 4th time we (my wife and I) have seen the show and it is still as though it were the first time. The drums pierce your soul and the dance is stunning as well as the costumes. We will attend again giving the opportunity. If you have the chance to go, please do, you will not be disappointed.

    I had so much fun!

    by V6Nov on 2013-08-13Elgin Theatre - Toronto

I consider going to this Umoja event last Saturday, like the best thing I did for my summer vacation. During all the performance, I applauded, cheered, shouted gleefully; of course, I did all of these things at the right moment. If I was richer, I would go back every night. Anyway, I am more than satisfied with the wonderful performance I attended. Way to go Umoja!

The show was beautiful the cast amazing costume breathtaking. This is my second time seeing this show and i will see it again, love the way the narrator walk you through the development of a people their culture and their music. The drumming explosive i am amazed at the strength of the drummers i tip my hat to Umoja truly is the spirit of togetherness.
