About

Alanis Morissette established herself as the foremost female singer-songwriter of the 1990s with her 16-time platinum-certified third album Jagged Little Pill, released in 1995. The Ottawa, Ontario native had already released her 1991 debut Alanis and 1992’s Now Is the Time before graduating high school and moving to Los Angeles, where Morrisette began to develop Jagged Little Pill. After its release, Jagged Little Pill gained steam behind singles like “You Oughta Know,” “Hand in My Pocket,” “Ironic” and “You Learn,” propelling the album to Morissette’s first of three consecutive No. 1s on the Billboard 200. At the 1996 Grammys, she claimed four trophies including Album of the Year, Best Rock Album and Best Rock Song for “You Oughta Know.” The album has sold more than 33 million copies worldwide, and remains one of the all-time best-selling albums in the U.S. 1998’s Supposed Former Infatuation Junkie and 2002’s Under Swept Rug followed, led by singles like “Thank U” and “Hands Clean.” In 2018, Morissette debuted the musical Jagged Little Pill, which reimagines her catalog while adding several new, original compositions, and the production moved to Broadway a year later — landing 15 Tony nominations and two wins as well as a Grammy for Best Musical Theater Album. Morisette then released her ninth and tenth studio albums, 2020’s Such Pretty Forks in the Road and 2022’s The Storm Before the Calm

Alanis Alanis’ all hits concert with awesome opening act!

    by H. W. on 2023-05-29Centre Bell - Montreal

Great double concert! Great performances of Shirley Manson and her band Garbage! Alanis’ band and her performances were as fresh and energetic as 30 years ago! Didn’t expect at all this concert to be as good as it became. Thanks all.

    A reference

by Jac on 2022-11-06Rogers Arena - Vancouver

Alanis was a huge reference in my youth. Her deeply personal lyrics, her unique singing style, the way she protected herself from all the pressure that came from the music industry after her success... And she always seems to be one of the coolest human beings. Being to this celebration of Jagged Little Pill, one of my favourite albums, was emotional. I hope I can see her again.

    Fun!

by CJ on 2022-08-25Rogers Place - Edmonton

Really enjoyed the show only downside was the outrageous priced drinks and seating on the floor. It’s hard to enjoy the music and feel comfortable when you’re squished up in rows of cheap plastic seats. Performance was great though!

    Mind-blowing experience

by Joanna on 2022-08-11Scotiabank Saddledome - Calgary

I was on the floor front row. I was so close to Alanis at times, that I could almost touch her. She brought me back 25 years with Jagged Little Pill songs, along with new songs. She took us into a mesmerizing world of her genius-ism. She looked and sounded amazing! I highly recommend seeing her Live!

Sight line to stage partially blocked.

by Blocked on 2022-08-09Rogers Place - Edmonton

My view of the stage for Alanis Morissette on July 28 was blocked 30% due to the handicap seating area jut out. There was no mention of this partial view at the time of purchasing the tickets. Took away from the experience constantly peaking around this corner. Sec: 118 Row: DRL Seats: 9-10 These seats need to be noted of partial view and sold at a lower or not sold altogether.

    Great sound! Great concert!

by Beau Danger on 2022-08-09Rogers Place - Edmonton

I am not the biggest fan of Rogers Place in Edmonton. It is in a lousy area to get to and I don't like the fact that you can't leave the building and go back in, and at past events they have closed the bars down way too early - BUT this time around I had a really good time. The sound was great, Garbage and Alanis' performances were incredible, I was still able to get a drink pretty late into Alanis' set. Also all of the Rogers staff I interacted with were very pleasant and helpful. All-in-All it was a fun night and I thoroughly enjoyed myself! I grew up with Alanis and it was such a treat to see her live. She nailed it.

    Not bad

    by J on 2022-08-05Rogers Place - Edmonton

Ticketmaster was supper easy to use and my tickets worked well. Alanis Morissette was great!! Rogers place of course has ridiculous prices and rules. $12 for 2 water!! They had to pour into a cup, couldn't even have the plastic bottles without lids!
