Entire event was well laid out - even with glitches. The staff, musicians, emcees & people attending Alberta Flood Aid 2013 were fabulous - no negativity or ignorance was present - all were there to support flood victims! Met a lot of great people & reconnected with many! What was impressive was the line up of musicians - quite a variety and alot of Albertans which made this event even more special & meaningful! A good show of support - cheers Alberta!!

    Nickelback was amazing!

    by number1nbgirl on 2013-09-03McMahon Stadium - Calgary

I was impressed with the organization from the beginning of the event right to the very end. Entry to the event was very quick, we were able to get to our assigned area easily, the bands were quick to get on stage, performances were awesome and leaving the venue was very stress free! Loved the extra entertainers that performed between the headliners sets! We were at the very front in front of the stage! Security was quick help when they were needed and stayed out of the way when they weren't! Loved being a part of such an historic event!

    Awesome Show!

by bsmiles on 2013-08-29McMahon Stadium - Calgary

This was a great event put on for a Province in need of help and also a great way to show how much love and care there is here in Alberta. The artist's were fantastic and it was great to see so many Canadian artists come together for a great cause. I would have given it 5 stars but for the "headlining" band, Nickleback. It's disappointing that they would agree to do a charitable thing yet put so many restrictions on their performance. Their attitude put a sour taste in my mouth. If I could break it down, I would put 5 stars for everyone else and 0 stars for Nickleback.

It was awe-inspiring to be a part of an event in support of a life-changer for so many in Calgary and area and brought out the best in so many ways. The performances were heartfelt, changeovers quick and music was great.

Great event for a very important reason.

by BeatleFan on 2013-08-21McMahon Stadium - Calgary

The concert was excellent and you couldn't have picked a better evening for an outdoor event. It might have been a little too long given that it started at 6:00 PM and ended shortly before 11:00 PM. It was fun to have a concert at McMahon Stadium again. It was a tremendous event and the money raised was for a very good cause. I wish Ian Tyson had sung "Alberta Bound". There should have been better organization to access the stadium. It was quite chaotic at the various entrances. There should have also been some seat control so the extra cost for the VIP tickets provided some advantages.

    Province Saviour

by nikkilynn on 2013-08-20McMahon Stadium - Calgary

This show was amazing, a bit of a tear jerker but so needed. Its been a rough few months for those in Alberta who have lost their homes, pets, friends and family along with memories that can never be restored. Thank you for doing this for us. We are amazed to see how much money was raised and we are all looking forward to building our province again. Thank you Canadian Artists for putting on a rocking show where we all came together to donate, sing and dance! ALBERTA STRONG Please note that the line ups for admission were poorly planned. 6:00pm is also to early for a concert as EVERYONE in the city are just finishing up and rushing to the NW for a concert. It should have started at 7:00pm giving more people more time to get there. Everyone coming at once just to try and make it before the first band created a lot of hiccups in the lineups

Alberta Flood Relief - Best Night Ever!

by Dacor on 2013-08-20McMahon Stadium - Calgary

Energy level high as was the inspiration for the event. The weather was fun, crowd was ready for fun and everyone was touched by the videos of the floods and the frustration of the progress of flood recovery. The entertainment was great - sincere - audience waves were great fun and Johnny Reid's phone fire was pretty spectacular. Even though there were 20,000 supporters leaving the stadium for the C- train trip home, everyone was happy and all went smoothly and in good humour. I am proud of all the people who were there. Shame came when Premier Redford was introduced and booed -was that really a time for booing and some drunken boldness.
