Alfie Zappacosta has one of Canada's most beautiful and powerful voices in the music industry. He is a legend in his own right. He is magical to see and hear in person. Alfie's friendly and funny always happy to meet fans.
Voice still incredible. Love the cabaret/ on stage seating, it makes for a phenomenal evening. I'd forgotten how much I enjoy his music.
The venue for this was awesome! Alfie sounded amazing, I just wish he had performed a few more of his more popular songs. But was great overall!
Despite having just recovered from the flu, Zappacosta's performance was terrific. His voice is as powerful as ever. The first song in the set was performed in Italian. His version of "Me and Mrs. Jones" showcased what an outstanding vocalist he is -- has been for decades! He also performed with a four-piece band including keyboard, drums, bass and saxophone. An added treat was the fact the the boys enjoyed drifting into uptempo jazzy riffs that got the audience moving. Not to be missed!
I went to this concert not sure what to expect. I knew only 3 or 4 songs. Would this be a "hurry up and sing your hits so I can go home" kind of evening? I was completely blown away by the music, What a fantastic night. Thanks Alfie, you and your band found a loyal fan.
I have been a big Alfie fan for 25 years. His music has taken me thru many phases in my life, happy and sad. As I hear each song, I go back in time to a certain event or time. He has been my weekend music choice forever. The performance Wednesday at Festival Place did not disappoint. His humour and “Passion” were thru the roof. His ability to perform never wavered. My heart sang when he sang. Thank you, thank you , thank you Alfie! Can’t wait to see you again!
