She has just a great voice as Adelle! It was very entertaining and best $33.00 I've spent in a long time. Don't remember if she has ever played Toronto before.

Great show, except for the lighting!

by Fuzyottr on 2017-09-20The Danforth Music Hall - Toronto

Alison is a charming performer, and her voice is as fantastic as ever. I love her great subtle dance moves and stage presence. It was also great to hear her chat with the audience between songs as well. My only complaint is the overuse of blinding flashing lights pointed at the audience. This detracted from the enjoyment of the show as much of the time, I couldn't even see her, and had to literally close my eyes to avoid being blinded!

How to make a 50 something woman giggle

by DzlRok on 2017-09-20The Danforth Music Hall - Toronto

I was never really a fan of this techno disco genre. My wife on the other hand is. Therefore if I want to see Megadeth I have to go to Alison Moyet. It was good. She has an outstanding voice and I even recognized two songs. My wife on the other hand became a giggling, nut job who couldn't sit still. I'm guessing she loved it. Only real complaint was the relentless assault by the lighting. As much as 50% of the show was spent shielding my eyes from spots that had everyone hiding.

    Bright Lights In The City

by raunch on 2017-09-20The Danforth Music Hall - Toronto

Mostly high-energy show from a real pro. She had a really nice mix of older material and songs off of her new album. Her voice was terrific and her two piece band got the job done in fine fashion. I would have rated this show at 5 stars if it wasn't for her stage lights....total over kill! There were many times, during her performance, where you couldn't view the stage because the lights (facing the audience) were blinding. It might have been effective for a song or two but they were extremely intense far too often.

    About the show

by celestino630 on 2017-09-20The Danforth Music Hall - Toronto

The angle of my seat on the balcony was inline with the flashing white light aimed directly in my eyes, it was blinding and I was not the only one in the audience with this problem. I was disappointed that she did not play Invisible. The concert was good overall and I would see her again.

    Awesome voice!

by 78912 on 2017-09-20The Danforth Music Hall - Toronto

Alison Moyet was awesome and her voice was as rich as it was in the 80's! Her new music proves she still knows how to write fantastic songs! The back lighting was blinding to those of us on the balcony! Many people were holding up their phones to block the lights!

    Alison Moyet amazing!

by Torontoconcertgoer on 2017-09-20The Danforth Music Hall - Toronto

Love the venue. Love her voice. New stuff amazing - old stuff still brings back the memories. I cannot believe she is playing small venues when Adele sells out ACC. It should be reversed. What a fun time and everyone was so excited from beginning to end.

    wonderful night

by wgIII on 2013-11-17Manhattan Center Grand Ballroom - New York

The last time ms moyet was in the states, it was poorly promoted and equally poorly attended....unfortunately. i have seen alison on four previous tours and this was the best yet. the new music live was amazingly strong and the older songs have all been reworked to fit with electronic sound and they all sounded current and were well received. flanked by two musicians and bathed in a simple but effective light show, alison was captivating and the entire concert was terrific from start to finish. too bad she's only doing three dates in north am.
