Amateur Night at the Apollo Tickets

It was the best show of our week long NYC trip!! The Apollo Theatre is historic, the liveliness of the theatre guests, the host Comedian Capone was hilarious with no profanity, the DJ intermission and the amateur acts were top notch! Such a great value for $30 tickets.

We had a great time at Amateur Night. The audience was into it and the hosts and emcee made it flow and funny. The performers themselves are to be congratulated for their courage. The winners in both the kids and adults categories were kind of obvious though.

Just amazing!! Great value for the price - so much fun and so much talent. If I lived there I would want to go every week

All good. Nobody got booed but would have liked to see something other than vocalists. Maybe a comedian, ventriloquist, juggler? Not enough variety.

We were totally blown away at how much fun we had at this event. I wasn't so sure because the tickets were so cheap ($34USD). From the venue, to the host and performers..all A++! The host had us all engaged and dancing and laughing at the jokes. I would definitely go back to watch Amateur Night at the Apollo next time we're back in NYC and will recommend to all family and friends.

We could not have enjoyed this event more! The warm-up DJ, the MC and all 7 acts were top-notch. On our 3-day NYC trip we saw a broadway show, a live taping of a network TV show and Amateur night at the Apollo. This was, by far, the highlight of our mini vacation and I would highly recommend this as not only great value, but excellent entertainment.

If you're able to get to Harlem to see this show, it's a lot of fun. I thought they would "plant" bad acts for the executioner to remove from the stage (like they do on America's Got Talent), but that's not the case. Everyone on that stage legit thinks they have a shot. As an aside, there really aren't a lot of places to eat near the theatre. We asked a local and he suggested we get back on the subway to find dinner in Queens and then come back. So, eat before you go.

Stayed at a VRBO in the area. Weren't sure what to expect, but was recommended by others who stayed at the VRBO. Was SO MUCH FUN!! Total audience participation. The band, the MC, the executioner were so funny and entertaining. Was one of the highlights of our trip to NY. Highly recommended!
