I read his review from the previous night's performance (in Regina) and there was criticism that his voice wasn't up to par and some people weren't happy with all the poetry. My experience was different. If his voice was a bit shaky at times - good for him, it added authenticity. With many performers using heavy drumming, loud music, electronic enhancement and distractions like pyro and confetti bombing, it was nice to be able to just listen to quiet pleasant singing, accompanied by a single talented guitarist. I also liked all the rules the event staff were heard outlining repeatedly throughout the theatre - no cameras, cell phones to be shut off, early concession closure, entry and re-entry to theatre only between songs or when there was clapping. The best part - NOBODY STANDING IN FRONT OF ME, OBSTRUCTING MY VIEW.
