    Dancing with the what?

by concertfantk on 2010-10-21Sony Centre For The Performing Arts - Toronto

When fans were asked to join on stage it was magical! But too bad this evening was missing so much. For the price and for the hype I was expecting a much more polished and professional show. In at least one group performance the lack of timing was very obvious and unpleasant to watch. One female dancer was not at an acceptable level as her moves consistently lacked sharpness throughout the evening. And the 20 minute intermission which appeared to be longer than 30 minutes added to the lack of professionalism of this show. Really, considering what I paid to see Burn the Floor, this performance was very poor value and lacked the stars .

    Ballroom with a Twist

by PCTC on 2010-10-21Sony Centre For The Performing Arts - Toronto

It was a great show. The "Stars" plus "American Idols", was very entertaining to watch. I esspecially liked when the 2 Instructors from Arthur Murry's Dance Studio, performed. I thought the guy was another person from "Dancing with the Star". It's so good to know where regular people, such as myself, can actually go and learn these steps.A very eye-opening and fun evening!! @ Thumbs-Up!!!

The dancing was good but the music was disappointing. It would have been much better with a live band. It seemed like an amateur production. For the price point we have seen much better shows!

    Ballroom was great!!

by lnacson on 2010-10-19Centennial Concert Hall - Winnipeg

I really enjoyed the show. I saw Evan Lysacek in the "Stars On Ice" in Miami at the same time he was doing "DWTS" last year & thought how amazing he was both on ice and off. To see how he has embraced the ballroom dancing and together with Louis Van Amstel was able to put together a show such as this was really great to see. Also to be able to see Edyta, Alex, Jonathon & Damian was pretty awesome as well. I would have liked to have seen more production with the routines ie: stage sets, props etc. But all in all it was a most enjoyable show. I took my 7 year old grandaughter , who is taking both hip hop and balet, and she just loved it. Especially when Jonathon and the DWTS crew got us all up dancing.

good but not great and over priced

by melia on 2010-10-19Centennial Concert Hall - Winnipeg

The pros from Dancing with the Stars were amazing and the rest of the show was good but not fantastic. It was definitely overpriced for the the quality of entertainment provided. The singers were only fair at best.

Ballroom with a Twist not twisted enough

by IraDiva on 2010-10-19Centennial Concert Hall - Winnipeg

Just some critiques from a dance junkie. I found the production value of this performance to be low considering the price of the tickets--about $85 a person. The singing was forgettable and should be excluded to rely more on dancing and set design (there wasn't any).

    Ballroom great show!

by Cass1 on 2010-10-19Centennial Concert Hall - Winnipeg

We bought the tickets with the Meet and Greet option for our 35th Wedding Anniversary. It was a unique gift to ourselves. My wife had no idea that the show was going on (poor advertising in our area) so when she got her anniversary card with the Itinerary in it, she was quite surprised. The show was great! The dancers were amazing and talented. It was special to also see the couple dancing from Winnipeg. I hope that something similar comes back to Winnipeg every year. Bring back Edyta and Alec.

    Ballroom with a BLAH

by Yamaha on 2010-10-19Centennial Concert Hall - Winnipeg

I was so looking forward to this performance however I was very disappointed. Yes, there were some highlights and the dancers were good (Randi was amazing and has great stage presents and personality) but at times I really felt like I was at my daughter's dance recital(They used the same lighting & no backdrops, not in sync).......I felt as though this show was working off the Hype of THE DANCING WITH THE STARS performers and came up very, very flat.... As for the singers, David seemed to be a better fit then Gina, she looked very awkward on the stage and her performance with the boys was less than sexy.... And what was that Question and Answers period with Jonathan ????? One word `` CHEEZY``.......It seemed more like they needed to fill in some time...... After seeing this show I felt it was not as polished or theatrically put together as it could have been and that it was definately not worth my money($100.00) and would not recommend it even for $50.00 a tix.....
