    great show, good memories...

by ncaa on 2013-07-22beach party - Hull

I do not understand the previous comments.I attended this show last saturday. People were dancing all over the place. The front singers were as good as anything I have seen over the years and the musicians were great. Andie is fantastic and as good a performer as I have seen on Broadway. I cannot comment for the other performances but that night almost everybody in the crowd were clapping their hands. Of course there is a lot of music of the 60s and if you don't like that, you are better off to stay home but if you just want to have fun for a couple of hours and you are ready to spend 33 dollars, it is way cheaper than the slot machines. Do not expect to get a decor like you get on Broadway but if you like music and great vocals, you will like that show.

Pass on this one,the band would be better suited on a boat cruise or a less expensive venue.

    Beach Party was almost average

by Lackluster on 2013-07-10Theatre du Casino du Lac-Leamy - GATINEAU

Although the musicians are obviously quite talented, they were lacking energy. THey didn't do a very good job of engaging the audience. There wasn't much moving around by any of the band members apart from the 2 main singers, which didn't do much to inspire audience members to get up and dance. For the most part part, the song choices were ok, but there didn't seem to be any sense to the order of the songs. There would be one "dance-worthy" song followed by something slow, or something reggae-like following by something a bit more poppy. THe set list didn't make any sense. Although I had fun dancing with my friends, it was definitely not worth the $45 entry fee. The performances were amateurish and it was thanks to the people that I was with that I enjoyed myself.
