Boy Falls From The Sky - AMAZING!
Toronto Ctr for the Arts (soon Meridian Arts Centre): Studio - Toronto
This one man insight into a career in theatre is a must see for anyone who is a fan of the arts, involved in the arts, or planning to pursue a career in the arts. Jake gives an intimate look into life as actor via a journey through his career, exposing the excitement, disappointments, self doubt, and the physical and mental damage each part of that journey can cause. His sensitivity as a person (and actor) shines through in his performance. For anyone not exposed to such a career, it gives them an insight into all the emotions and sometimes self doubt that comes along with the successes of a life in the arts. Daniel Ambramson’s musical talent shines onstage with his accompaniment to Jake’s one man show. If it is ever produced again and you have the chance to see this sold out Fringe show - don’t miss the chance. Kudos to Jake and Daniel!!,

Not the best by far
Studio Theatre at the Toronto Centre for the Arts - Toronto
Poor script and amateur performance. They were better fringe shows this year

Lost and Found

I thought that the blurb of the show misrepresented what it was about. The delivery was good but I found the content boring. I saw several other fringe shows this year that exceeded my expectations and did not make the best of the fringe list.? This show was a disappointment .

I love the concept of having scenes played in a variety of order, and with different actors. I will definitely see it again, i want to see how different it will be!

Really fantastic script and performances. Thought everything about this piece was perfectly executed: I enjoyed every minute and was very glad I attended. Thanks!

An hour chock full of energy and heart!!!
Studio Theatre at the Toronto Centre for the Arts - Toronto
From the moment Polly comes on stage, you are immediately drawn into her struggle to find "self". The pace never lets up. As a Psychologist, I particularly appreciated how she unfolded her journey to self acceptance. We all want to find our best version of selves while incorporating our strengths and limitations and I thing Polly did just that. I highly recommend it! Well done Polly!!

Melissa Hood will be a star!
Studio Theatre at the Toronto Centre for the Arts - Toronto
I saw the production twice. Once @ the Fringe's Tarragon show, and again the finale @ The Toronto Centre for the Arts. The TCA show had the cast in their finest form. They were relaxed and obviously, to this theatre-goer anyway, they were on their game and having fun. Diana Son's play brings a thoughtful and thought-provoking aprroach to gay-bashing and the discrimination victims face by the "system" and family. The use of time lines is very creative and somewhat reminiscent of a Law and Order episode. Of course, this is where Diana Son honed her chops. I can't say enough about the cast. They were comfortable with each other. I will put particular emphasis on Melissa Hood's performance where she seemlessly moved from one difficult emotion to another with the skill of a much more seasoned Hollywood actor. I look forward to her next role and feel we will be seeing more of her in the near future.

A wonderful show. A musical with emotional depth and chops. Strong performances acting and vocally.
