I would recomend seeing this concert to anyone even non country music fans would love this show.
The concert with Big & Rich and Grechen Wilson was wonderful. They played almost 2 hours non stop. The tickets were very reasonable. However, it was on the loud side. Big & Rich are a colorful band and Grechen has a good communication with the audience. Glad that my husband and myself went.
This concert was absolutely wonderful - my sister and I lucked out and had great seats, 2nd row front and center so we were able to take in all the action. I have always loved Gretchen Wilson, so that was obviously a given that I would enjoy her concert, but with Big&Rich and Cowboy Troy there as well - it just pumped up the whole experience. I was sad that 2 foot Fred didn't come out, but if I hadn't known he was there, I wouldn't have missed him! I would absolutely recommend any country music fan to check out their concert - and even if you're not a huge fan of country, I bet you would still enjoy the concert!
They advised our city was the last one on the tour and we got the sense that they just wanted it to be over. Gretchen was great but Big & Rich hardly sang any of their own songs. I was really disappointed not to hear Holy Water. I liked the format of mixing the acts up but felt that we got a shortened show of each. The opening act was someone we had never heard of so we skipped it then felt ripped off when the headliners only played for a short time. The last time they were in town, I had to leave before the show was over because it was almost midnight and I thought the babysitter would be worried. This time I was home by 10 pm with 2 headliners.
The opening set was great. Big and Rich and Cowboy Troy were amazing. But Gretchen Wilson ruled the show. She is an amazing entertainer. She should have been first in the head lines!!
The Xtreme Muzik Tour was amazing and very entertaining. Love the interaction with the fans and the music was the best. It was so great to see all the entertainment in one night. Lindsay Ell is a must see - she can rock the guitar & is beautiful. Have to love a Canadian Girl ;) Big & Rich, Gretchen Wilson & Cowboy Troy where absolutely entertaining together. So much better in concert. Great show all way round - everyone should see them live! Best chemistry for a rocking concert - loved it!
What a Country Rockin' good time. We enjoyed all of it. Lindsay Ell is an up & coming good singer & guitar player. Gretchen fit right in with Big Kenny & John Rich. Great to listen to. She can belt out a great song. Big & Rich lit up the stage & rocked it! . . . . . . Thank You
music was good - Gretchen was great - Big has a fantastic personality - Rich shouldn't wear pink - Cowboy Troy is highly over-rated and what happened to Fred? - he was a no-show.
Big & Rich never disappoint, however with this format of show, I have to say I felt it to be more of a Gretchen Wilson show then John and Big Kenny's show. I understand they are all a team, but didn't care for all of them to be on the stage at once for the full show. I am a huge fan of Cowboy Troy, yet felt he failed to showcase his work, except for one song. And where was Two Foot Fred?? I will always be a Big & Rich fan regardless of format, and unfortunately am not as big of fan of Gretchen, who seemed to be on stage singing alot (even though I thought she was great the night of the show, voice was amazing), I would have rather each of the acts do their own thing on stage, maybe coming out to share the stage for a few key songs. Overall, if I had an opportunity to see them again, I would be first in line even if the format was the same!
Am so pleased to have this opportunity to give my opinion - - have attended many concerts and have to say this was the worst. For starters the sound appeared to be cranked to top volume causing a distortion of the vocals. Loud sound does not equal good music. Surprised that there was at least a 30 munute wait between the opening act and the featured act to set up and tune up - would have thought would look after this prior to the start of the show. The on stage behaviour was a total surprise as I thought the performers were professionals - this was not the case in Prince George. Apparently it was the last show on the tour and it felt like that too. Have seen Big and Rich in the past and did enjoy their show. Gretchen seemed to have the need to "scream" a few times in her sets. Have spoken to many who attended with the same comments as mine.
