Bill Maher was great, the rest was not!

by Not super happy..... on 2020-01-03Neal S Blaisdell Concert Hall - Honolulu

Bill Maher was great as usual but he really needs to get other performers to be with him as Sarah Silverman was absolutely terrible. She cannot sing and her material stinks. The other so called comedian should retire for good and the old guitar players are just that OLD. As I said before Bill Maher was the only good act on New Years eve.

    Political comedy with Bill Maher

by jbarc49 on 2017-10-23Queen Elizabeth Theatre - Vancouver

My wife and I are great fans of Bill Maher and watch his HBO show regularly every Friday night. This was our second visit to see him in Vancouver. He did not disappoint us at all although I knew what to expect. A large percentage of the evening was directed at the POTUS and craziness in US & Washington politics, which provides him with endless comedy material. He also hit on his usual themes: religion, political correctness, the Democrats, marijuana and sex. My wife felt he was too crude at times, but that's Bill. All in all, a great show (unless you are a Republican). Most Canadians would really enjoy seeing him. I would like to attend his show in LA one day.

Bill Maher Vancouver Oct 14, 2017

by CEFF on 2017-10-17Queen Elizabeth Theatre - Vancouver

I watch Bill Maher's TV show each week so was looking forward to seeing him live. Although he was amusing, there wasn't any new material so very much a repeat of his weekly show. I thought perhaps he did a separate stand-up routine. Most disappointing however was the length of the act. He was only 'on' for a total of 1 hour and 10 minutes. The tickets were 110.00 each. The parking was 20 bucks. There was no warm up act so the whole thing was basically just over 1 hour in length. The car was still 'warm' when I got back to it! Not very good value for the $$$ at all. It felt like a total cash grab. I won't go again.

    Bill Maher does his thing

by Laffman on 2017-10-17Queen Elizabeth Theatre - Vancouver

The Bill Maher show on Oct. 14 did not disappoint. He ran through his usual subject matter, devoting more than half the show to ridiculing Trump, while also touching on his other favourite issues like gun control, pot and immigration. Through it all, he was vintage Maher, with insightful digs and his usual irreverence. It was a fun time.

    Too much Trump

by jfmaier on 2017-10-17Queen Elizabeth Theatre - Vancouver

Awesome show, however, from my perspective Bill spent too much time on the US's current government white house administration, specifically Trump and his minions.
