    Nostalgic and hilarious...

by Hobocop on 2012-11-20Center for the Performing Arts - Vancouver

Seeing all new Mr. Show type skits written for just one show made me feel incredibly fortunate. The comics were all great in their own way. Defining moment of the night for me was Tim Heidecker... only thing funnier than his act was hearing the groans of confusion in the audience around us.

    Coldplay was unforgettable!!! Also comedy.

by Targus on 2012-02-28The Centre In Vancouver For Performing Arts - Vancouver

The closing Gala was a once in a life time event. The on stage reunion of Bob Odenkirk and David Cross was no less than magic and I am privilaged to say I was there. John Ennis was better than ever; looking good John, looking good. Matt Braugner was funny, but needs to focus on pacing. Josie Long was British, apparently, but still made me laugh. Chelsea Peretti was as funny as she was (is) attractive, which is very. Nick Thune was enjoyable. And Marc Maron was as classy as ever (the live podcast the night before was amazing). The stand up that stood out to me was Tim Heideker. Being a huge fan of Tim and Eric I may havd a slight bias, but knowing Tim's comedy style made his act all the more hilarious. Bravo It was one of the best nights of my life, and I can only hope that Bon and David do something again very soon.

A great night of edgy comedy but...

Simply put: not enough David Cross. I was hoping for some stand-up from him.

1 out of 6 comedians were funny

by stizzo on 2012-02-27The Centre In Vancouver For Performing Arts - Vancouver

Bob & David opened up and introduced 3 of the 6 comedians. The guy with the guitar was funniest.

Comedy Fest closing gala was horrible!

by Anonymous on 2012-02-27The Centre In Vancouver For Performing Arts - Vancouver

We purchased these expensive tickets expecting a great night of laughs. It was the worst comedy event I've ever seen or could imagine. Lame 'grade 8 drama' skits, comedians with notes! Notes! Did they not know they were doing this event? I could have gone up with notes and been more funny. Absolutely painful night and we were angry at the waste of money. Super disappointing.

I left early because it was boring at MANY portions of it. I thought the first 2 stand up comedians did an awesome job, but quickly lost interest in certain sections like the political skit about slaves and the comedian with the horrible America vs Canadian jokes. I understand he was Sapose to be horrible, but there was nothing there then a guy literally saying BAD LAME jokes for 10 minutes. The 1st female comedian to come out made my date and I laugh pretty good!! All in all, I had a good night even if it was not as good as I thought it would be

    Good line up of comedians

by Mayse on 2012-02-27The Centre In Vancouver For Performing Arts - Vancouver

Great venue, would be nice to have a drink in the seats though. Good line up. Wish my friends hadn't made me 15 minutes late. ha Wish David Cross had a longer stand up set. He's great!

Bob and David show was ok

by Libu on 2012-02-27The Centre In Vancouver For Performing Arts - Vancouver

I originally bought these tickets because I'm a David Cross fan. When the show started him and Bob did some "skits" that I have to say were horrible. Had the rest of the evening consisted only of these skits I would have left. They made stereotypical Canadian "jokes" and mumbled a bunch of other crap with a fake guitarist. Not funny at all. Thank God the show went on to showcase some pretty funny comedians and we enjoyed the rest of the show. The show was funny but at no point were my husband and I laughing so hard it hurt. I've definitely seen better comedy shows. I'm glad the tickets only cost $39.

Amazing Show: Bob and Dave are the best

by Anonymous on 2012-02-27The Centre In Vancouver For Performing Arts - Vancouver

Not only was it a thrill to watch Bob and Dave perform together live (After being a massive fan of Mr. Show), but the comedians they picked to close the Gala were outstanding. Matt Braunger hit it out of the park, Chelsea Peretti has really come into her own as a performer, Marc Maron, Nick Thune, Josie Long and Tim Heidecker all rocked! And they brought Mr. Show's John Ennis!!!
