Canadian country star Brett Kissel has had audiences singing and clapping along to his feel-good hits for more than a decade -- and he's only in his twenties. The fresh-faced young singer has a knack for penning catchy, anthemic country tunes, and his energetic performances on tour always leave fans feeling good. Whether he's crooning about the "Girl in a Cowboy Hat" or tearing through fan favorite "Raise Your Glass", Kissel is a seasoned young performer who knows how to rock a crowd.
Brett Kissel grew up on a cattle ranch in rural Alberta, Canada, and it was there that he received his first guitar at age six. The precocious young singer-songwriter quickly mastered the instrument, and at age 13 he independently released his debut album Keepin' It Country. Several more independently released albums followed including Tried and True - A Canadian Tribute (2006) and My Roots Run Deep (2008), both of which Kissel supported with extensive touring on the rodeo circuit. In 2013 he signed with Warner Music Canada, making his major label debut that same year with the album Started with a Song. The record peaked at No. 22 on the Canadian charts, earning him three Top 10 country hits including "Raise Your Glass" and "3-2-1". The album was nominated in six categories at the 2014 Canadian Country Music Awards, cementing his place as one of the genre's brightest young stars. A veteran performer who has been entertaining audiences since his early teens, Kissel never fails to impress on his must-see tours.
