    Hair

by KRSACS on 2013-03-03Hamilton Place Theatre - Hamilton

We were extremely disappointed in this show. I expected there to at least be some sort of story line which we never figured out. We left at intermission along with many other people too. : ( Total waste of money.

    Hair was Awesome!!!

by Susie117 on 2013-03-02Hamilton Place Theatre - Hamilton

This was my first time seeing Hair, and it definitely will not be the last!! I had a blast--the music and the actors were wonderful!! I only wish I had bought my tickets sooner and would have been closer to the stage--I know bettter for next time!!

Hair was a little tooo much!

by Sensible on 2011-03-21Oriental Theatre Chicago - Chicago

Well, for the cost of the tickets I would probably not recommend this show. We took our two older teenage daughters and were really looking forward to it. We were aware of the general content and even the nude scene (which I did not find offensive....was of a non-sexual nature). However, I did feel the sexual gestures.....multiple partners pretending to have sex on stage.....pulling a yellow shirt rolled up out of an actor's pants to make it look like a penis.....constantly rubbing their crotches....was a little over the top. Maybe this is what all "HAIR" shows are like but I felt this should have been better explained on the website for those who cared. For me, it took some of the enjoyment out of the great music, fantastic singing and overall show. I definitely would have picked another musical if there was something else playing at the time.

    memorable experience

by agsent on 2011-01-10Pantages Theatre - Los Angeles

What a great show. Berger and Claude were both incredible singers and in fact the entire show was near flawless. If I had to complain about something I would say it could have been louder, but that's only because I love the music of Hair so much! It is however, not for prudish people. There are some pretty blatant simulated sex scenes.

    Problems with production

by theaterbuff on 2010-12-09ASU Gammage - Tempe

I thought the cast and show were terrific. However, we sat in the first balcony and we could not understand any of the musical dialog because the words were not clear and the orchestra overpowered the singers at this level. Further, a significant amount of action takes place on the floor and not on the stage. From the balcony we could not see that activity. Perhaps having the words in the program or on a screen might have helped, but I felt very very disappointed with the experiencfe. Perhaps if we had purchased the most expensive seats it would have been better - but that should not be a requirement for seeing a show.

    Very Disappointed

by mh99 on 2009-07-16River Rock Show Theatre - Richmond

Overall, I left the show wishing for my money back. It had the feel of a high school production, worth about $10 or $15 a ticket. Most of the men in the cast were very weak, both their singing and acting, except for the big black guy... he had some talent. And the sound production was terrible! The wireless headsets kept cutting out and hissing and popping, and for some of the numbers there were no vocals at all. Luckily most of the women had quite nice voices, so when they sang it was enjoyable.
