About

BRYAN FERRY IN CONCERT:

When it comes to debonair British crooners, Bryan Ferry has the market pretty well cornered, now in his fifth decade as one of the country's most celebrated and stylish pop stars. As beloved for his work with art rock band Roxy Music as he is for his solo material, the ever-dapper Ferry is a consummate performer, known for his silky voice, ladykiller looks, and come-hither stage presence. With a North American tour and Coachella appearance scheduled for 2014, Ferry has fans of all ages eagerly waiting to be seduced by his wily charms.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Ferry formed Roxy Music in 1970 with several friends and acquaintances, among them a young Brian Eno, the now-legendary producer of David Bowie fame.  Between 1972 and 1982 the band released eight albums, topping the UK Albums Chart three times and racking up a slew of hit singles including "Jealous Guy" and "Love Is the Drug." In addition to continuing to front the band, Ferry has maintained an impressive solo career, releasing 14 solo albums over the last four decades. A true showman, Ferry continues to tour, lending his treasured voice to Roxy Music classics, hits from his solo catalog, and covers of artists ranging from Bob Dylan to The Beach Boys.

FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:

"Bryan Ferry and his band exceeded all expectations. Took me back to the '70s... Can't come up with enough superlatives"

"Ferry is still 'The Master.' If I could bottle up his voice and hear it forever I would."

"A great show by an amazing performer. Bryan has surrounded himself with a wonderful band... The setlist was a solid mix of solo and Roxy songs. "

    Bryan Ferry the best

    by Sandy on 2024-01-28

I have seen and met Bryan Ferry 3 times. First time I flew to Toronto Massey Hall Excellent concert and his band is incredible. I was able to meet him briefly after the concert and get autos. Very nice and humble autoed a few things. That was about 2016 Then the second time at the Burt Theatre in Wpg so I just had to drive 2 hrs. I was lucky to have got a front and center seat in front of him. Wow he is so good looking. After concert. I went to rear of building in hopes of meeting him. I was lucky again Bryan came out I was the first in line. Gracious man I went over and he chatted I told him I had seen him in Toronto. He signed my ticket, cd cover and chatted. He is very modest and kind. The last time was in 2019 at the Queen Elizabeth in Vancouver I again had a floor seat. Met his manager and photographer Yuko great people I waited at the back again. With some others in line with hopes of speaking to Bryan. I had a dress and heels on. When my turn Bryan waved me over to his car. He talked signed multiple items and even held my hand. That smile is breathtaking. So humble

    Reaffirmed Roxy Music/Bryan Ferry Fan!

by Shirley K on 2019-09-08Queen Elizabeth Theatre - Vancouver

What a fantastic experience. From the moment he hit the stage to the last (sadly) song, it was a joyous treat to re-experience this timeless, fantastic music. Bryan is every bit the sophisticated British gentleman, dressed in a suit and tie! But what a rocker. His voice was as ethereal as ever, his band terrific with every musician outstanding in their musical ability. The crowd was totally into the experience which made it that more exciting. I thank Bryan Ferry for his gift of this timeless music and the memories it evokes.

    Never gets old!

by M. on 2019-09-08Queen Elizabeth Theatre - Vancouver

The Bryan Ferry show at Queen Elizabeth Theatre in Vancouver was outstanding! The acoustics in the venue is usually very good but the extra attention that Ferry puts into making sure the sound is exceptional was evident! Crystal clear, sharp and a few steps above the norm! Ferry’s voice has survived through all the years and the tracks played from Avalon showed how the songs still sound fresh after all the years!

    great

by Lightening Al on 2019-09-08Queen Elizabeth Theatre - Vancouver

Proving it can be done, the sound at the Queen Elizabeth Theatre was actually good, you could make out the words. Bryan Ferry's sound guys must care enough to get it right during the set up. Bryan Ferry was great, played all the hits with style. Opening acts are a mystery to me, not such what the chemistry would be between Femme Schmidt and Bryan Ferry / Roxy Music. She was not bad, but all the songs sounded the same.

    Fantastic

by Pearl on 2019-08-13Sony Centre for the Performing Arts (soon to be Meridian Hall) - Toronto

I really enjoy the venue and I feel it's quickly becoming a favourite! The opening act was great! I loved her glittery suit and her voice reminded me of Paula Cole (whose voice I LOVE)! Bryan Ferry and his band were absolutely fantastic! I'd never seen him perform live before and the energy from the crowd was so uplifting, as you can tell how much his fans really love him! The set list was great, the band was tight, and I left there with a big smile on my face. The only thing I could've done without was the woman who sat next to me and played on her cell phone throughout the opening act. I wouldn't care in the least if more artists adopted the "no cell phones allowed" policy at their shows. But, aside from that, it was a great night!

Bryan Ferry stylish, crooner. Loved loved loved the show. He hasn't lost his groove. Just one note: People please don't go to a concert and spend most of your time swiping on Facebook, taking selfies and texting. Enjoy the moment, enjoy the music.
