Made In America was average and way too crowded
by FKar on 2015-09-12Ben Franklin Parkway - PhiladelphiaThey packed the crowd with 30-40,000 more ppl than could hold in the space. I love music festivals (Coachella, Burning Man, Bonerroo, ACL, etc) and was super excited to go to MIA since it had a more hiphop/rnb lineup. The stages were close together and so packed that it was hard to see even if you got in early. And I mean, hard to even see the jumbo tvs, much less the actual stage. Lineup this year was so average and no one really brought out any guest performers so that was lame. The entire event had NO alcohol other than Budlight beer and it just felt so corporate and money grabbing. Philly as a city though was awesome and generally a fun time but the organizers of MIA did everyone a disservice with its exclusive no alcohol policy and packing the festival with way too many people.
