B'z is great, Sound Academy sucks

by Rockmammy on 2012-10-03Sound Academy - Toronto

B'z is a great Japanese band, although I am quite disappoint that they didn't sing the hit song "Ocean" and "Buzzer Beat" and there is only one encore ( I totally understand that it is times up and they are tired) , their performance is still extraordinary. and professional. However, the sound system in Sound Academy is so bad, it sounds like they are using cheap speakers and turn the volumn up in order to bomb the club. And also the arrangement for the souvenir purchase is bad too, people just didn't line up as we always do in other shows.

B'z put on their finest show tonight!!

by Uzumaki83 on 2012-10-01Sound Academy - Toronto, ON

It was truly an honour for the legendary B'z to have come here all the way from Japan to spread their music to North American audiences. I felt like I was in an Aerosmith concert - classic rockin' jams with a crazy-talented vocalist & ever inspiring guitarist!! From the 24.5 years they've been active, this concert meant a lot to me personally. It was a nice musical refreshment and TOTAL ear-candy to head bang through Japanese rock culture live in the Tdot. I've noticed some of their major hit songs have been changed over to English listeners. In fact, Kohshi Inaba's English speaking was fluent, no one had a hard time understanding him when he introduced himself and the band members! Additionally, non-B'z listeners enjoyed their concert as much as I did, because they modernize their musical style and write "fitting," inspirational lyrics to keep impressing their fans and gaining more respect. I can speak for the fans around me: WE ALL HAD FUN!!!!

B'z: Incredibly Intense, Surreal, True to Itself!

by Anonymous on 2012-09-30Sound Academy - Toronto

From the moment I saw a video of B'z live I knew they were going to be great if I ever went to see them live myself. I was so hyped about it that I thought for certain that I'd at least be a little disappointed so high were my expectations. I couldn't have been more wrong. From the moment the band stepped onto the stage, the atmosphere in the club started vibrating. It was surreal. Their presence on stage is overwhelming, electrifying. I watched, shouted, jumped, clapped my hands and got lost along with the rest of the crowd in their amazing sound. For nearly two hours, we were in another reality entirely. It ended way too soon and we stayed on a high for hours afterwards. Is B'z worth seeing live? Hell yeah! And an added bonus of seeing them in North America: they're right in front of you. Inaba and Matsumoto came within five meters of where I was standing and the whole band really engaged with the crowd. They weren't just doing their thing: you could see them looking at us, who had come to listen to their music.

    excellent show

by fenicksai on 2012-09-29Sound Academy - Toronto

this is the first time B'z visited Toronto, and they bring their new English-version Songs to us. Even though most audiences are Japanese or orientals, they still attracted some white and African native Canadian. once they came up to the stage, the atmosphere rase to a high level and everybody began to shake their hands with the rhythm. Furthermore, B'z fans also enjoyed the interaction with The singer and Guitarist: Inaba and Tak. the concert lasted for 2 hours. and eventually everyone still sink in the songs after they left. If I have chance again in the future, I will surely go to their concert whatever the price is.
