Calgary Roughnecks History
The Calgary Roughnecks are members of the National Lacrosse League (NLL). After debuting in 2002, the Roughnecks qualified for the postseason in 13 consecutive years until 2016. The team has appeared in four NLL Cup championship games, winning three between 2004, 2009 and 2019. The Roughnecks also secured five Division titles before the elimination of conferences ahead of the 2023–2024 season. Over the years, the Calgary Roughnecks’ roster has fielded four Hall of Famers, five Most Valuable Players, three Transition Players of the Year and two Rookies of the Year and Goaltenders of the Year apiece.

Calgary Roughnecks at Scotiabank Saddledome
The Roughnecks and the Riggers fanbase have packed downtown Calgary’s Scotiabank Saddledome since 2001. The Scotiabank Saddledome opened in 1983 and currently seats over 19,000 fans. Across the NLL, the Saddledome has hosted the 2005 All-Star Game and four NLL championship games, with the Roughnecks hoisting the NLL Cup in front of a hometown crowd in 2004, 2009 and 2019.

This was my first roughnecks and it was confusing but a lot of good music a lot of entertaining but I had fun I will go again
This was one of the best games we have been to. There was so much energy and overtime and win made it more exciting.

Everything about the day was good except trying to purchase the tickets on Ticketmaster site which was extremely difficult.
The Roughnecks game was great. Continuous back and forth action, lots of energy in the arena and very close and exciting game. Loads of fun and the home team won.
Such a great time. We have an 8 yr Old and he absolutely loved it. So did I. Great atmosphere. Never a dull moment.
Roughneck games are just fun for the whole family. Its fast pace and party atmosphere is awesome. Highly recommend
Roughnecks are awesome and played a great game against Halifax. Fast pace rough and tough play. Love it ... Would encourage everyone to get on board and attend a game. The announcer is beyond fantastic and keeps everyone involved in the game. Crazy time. Sarge
