School’s back in session and it’s time for Canada’s best collegiate cowboys and cowgirls to compete for the marks they need to take home a national title. All six major rodeo events will be featured, along with Team Roping, Goat Tying, Breakaway Roping and Pole Bending.
To qualify for CCFR, student-athletes must compete in student-run rodeos during the academic year while maintaining at least a 2.0 GPA, be in good academic standing at a post secondary school across Western Canada and be a current member of the Canadian Intercollegiate Rodeo Association.

Good young adult event with few injuries, good affordable night out
This was a wonderful exciting event. The athleticism, sportsmanship, dedication and courage displayed by the participants is to be commended. Well organized with one event following the next smoothly. Always a treat to have Ricky Wanchuk as the clown. Will definitely attend in the future.
This was the first time my grand children had been to a rodeo and they gave it a two thumbs up when asked if they enjoyed the event. The area we were sitting had great view of all the events
The College Rodeo is a very exciting rodeo to attend. To watch these cowboys and cowgirls who work so hard to make it to the final. Very enjoyable!!!!
I was impressed that there was replay available. The rodeo was great. Having Rick Wanchuk at this rodeo was great to get the crowd involved and it took up time between some slowness of getting some of the cowboys out. Rick always puts on a good show. Great organization. I liked that they had some of the Shooting Competition riders, that were competing during the days, sho their stuff at the beginning of the rodeo performance. A good way to promote this sport that is virtually unknown to a lot of people. All in all a very good experience for my family.
I haven't been to the CCFR in a couple of years and wow what am improvement. Such a better produced rodeo than the past. I loved the radio advertisement, the bursarys offered to the colleges for ticket sales and the better energy and professionalism seen at the rodeo. One disappointment was the lack of acknowledgement of the event or results in the city newspapers. Also presenting the event champions during the rodeo would be an improvement as well. Still loved the event.
Our boys couldn't remember being at a rodeo before. With front row seats we were right in all the action this time! New events had been added since we had last been to a rodeo but the traditional crowd pleasers like bronco riding and bull riding were still there too. And don't forget the rodeo clowns. Boys loved getting free suckers tossed to them in the crowd by him. All in all it was a great event. Only negative was the volulme of the sound system. For some reason they often played the music at ear splitting levels.
Took the kids out for an evening of fun. We got the fun! A very entertaining show. The kids loved the action.
Great show - I love this rodeo. Xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx
Me and my girlfriend (first time rodeo fan) absolutely loved it! It ran so smoothly, not a lot of time between events, funny clown!
