The Canadian Radio Music Awards were phenomenal! Marianas Trench is amazing live, so no review needed there. All of the one song artists were awesome! Definitely a must for next year!

    CDN supergroup

I love Crash Karma live. They play to the crowd and rock hard. They enjoy themselves on stage and interact with the crowd too.

Show was awesome. Dinosaur Bones came home to a huge welcome, and debuted their brand new CD with enthusiasm and style.

    Quite a surprise

    by 1Chi on 2011-03-16Sound Academy - Toronto

My girlfriend and me have been fans of Big Sugar for years, so we were really happy to get tickets for the show at the Academy. After having knee surgery a few weeks ago I was pleased to get seating next to the stage, a testament to the service at the Sound Academy. The first band, the name of which escapes me, were young and mediocre. We thought they were just a warm up band for the main event, but we were wrong. The next band to come on were straight from Nova Scotia, The Stanfields. They tore the place up, and left me wishing I could do a jig myself. Damn they were great! Coming in on their heals...we couldn't believe our ears! Wide Mouth Mason! Never have I heard a clearer, fuller, richer voice, backing amazing blues guitar - Shaun Verreault; amazing. The band played tight, looked relaxed and sounded huge. Gordie Johnson was a great fit with Mason. After what seemed like a bit of a wait Big Sugar entered the stage. While they put on a good show and covered all their big hits,it seemed as though something was missing. Gordie Johnson's voice seemed to not crack, but peal, and it seemed he was really struggling. I like Big Sugar, and I thought the show they put on was top notch.
