It's summer's biggest all-you-can-eat-scream-and-play buffet. Edmonton's Capital EX provides big time fun and thrills with 10 days of outrageous games, rides, concerts and endless shopping, food and summer entertainment.

ME AND MY BF REALLY HAVE FUN ON THAT DAY AND HE WON A DOMO FOR ME. LOL
Many interesting performances. Came twice to see everything we wanted to see. Liked the cultural show case hall where more than a single culture was exhibited as Edmonton and area has representatives of many different cultures. In future you might consider having one primary cultural exhibit and related sales booths with less space for two othe cultural exhibits rather than the current year's roughly equal space split among 4 cultural exhibits and no related sales booths. Alternatively, if a specific culture wanted more space to exhibit their culture and to have more sales booths, perhaps space could be allocated in the adjacent Borden Park for that.
The fairs always fun but very expensive all around games are imposible and the cheap prizes for the little kids which is the main reason I go ....
You need to open both gates again. We are middle aged and found having to walk from sports ex area where we had to park to front gate and then back again through gates back to sports ex to much. Then we had to do it again to get back to car. We found we were tired by the time we got to sports ex. This is one of the reason admission is down. I have heard many older people say this. Also not enough free entertainment. We used to bring our kids to ex and there were free pig races, dog shows, activities in kids area no charge, craft area no charge, kids shows no charge. It seems like a money grab. It seems now you pay gate admission and you get nothing much for it. Also not enough good rides, to long of line ups, and parking is too much. Also you wrecked it by changing the name, it needs a theme as well otherwise it's just another fair.
Enjoyed the shopping, the food and the shows. Also enjoyed the cleanliness of the grounds.
Unfortunately, my review of the first time ever attending the Capital Ex is not positive. WAY too many people and not nearly enough rides. Standing in line for 45 minutes + for one ride is unacceptable. We purchased the "ride all day passes" and they were not worth the money given the amount of rides we were able to participate in. Paying an admission fee of $48.00 for the four of us was a complete rip off. We will attend our local fair next year... completely disappointed with the Capital Ex. Been there, done that, won't attend EVER again!
We were not impressed with the New Capital Ex.It seemed to be short on entertainment and a good solid theme. I have been going since I was a child and have taken my kids every year (the oldest is 18 now). This year was very disappointing!
