About

CARY BROTHERS IN CONCERT:

From his days performing intimate shows at LA's Hotel Cafe to his more recent collaborations with EDM giants like Tiesto and Cosmic Gate, singer-songwriter Cary Brothers has proven himself an extremely versatile artist with a knack for evocative lyrics and catchy melodies. Brothers' emotive voice may lend itself perfectly to epic dance tracks, but he remains true to his singer-songwriter roots at his live shows, performing songs like "Blue Eyes" and "Ride" with his acoustic guitar and tasteful accompaniment from his talented backing band. He punctuates his no-frills sets with humorous anecdotes that always get audiences laughing, making for an entertaining and sociable concert experience fans won't want to miss.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Nashville-born Cary Brothers relocated to Los Angeles to pursue a career in entertainment after graduating from Northwestern University in the early '90s. He initially found success in the film industry, but by the early '00s his focus had shifted to music. He began performing throughout LA at venues like the Hotel Cafe, making a name for himself with a country-folk sound that paid homage to his Nashville roots. In 2004 he garnered national attention when his song "Blue Eyes" was featured on the Grammy-winning soundtrack of Garden State, a massively popular indie film directed by Brothers' college friend Zach Braff. His rise continued later that year with his debut EP All the Rage and its 2005 follow-up Waiting for Your Letter, both of which topped the iTunes singer-songwriter charts. In 2007 Brothers released his debut full-length Who You Are, a critically acclaimed record that was licensed to numerous films and TV shows including Grey's Anatomy, ER, and Scrubs. Since then he has collaborated with several notable dance music producers including Tiesto and Cosmic Gate, for whom he co-wrote and sang the tracks "Wake Your Mind" and "Start to Feel". An authentic performer known for his heartfelt live performances, Brothers continues to move fans with rousing renditions of his toe-tapping tunes on tour.

Cary Brothers was great. Would have liked to see an encore or extended performance. Media club is a great intimate venue, but gets really warm after a hot day.
