Cavalera Conspiracy + Mod Club = Superb night!

by Muriluo on 2011-10-19Mod Club Theatre - Toronto

Shows on Monday sound lame to me. However, going on Mod Club last Monday was the best thing I did in a long time! There is no better way to start my week. To be honest, I have not followed Cavalera Conspiracy. After Roots and Sepultura's break up, I have been distant from these guys career. Also, I had never heard about these guys Lazarus A.D. However, a very good friend invited me to go and so I went. I am a big fan of Mod Club, and the venue was really well chosen for this concert. By getting there the first good thing: although there was much more guys than girls, there was some extremely hot girls dressed in black, and with a great attitude! When CC played the sequence Refuse/Resist followed by Territory I thought that all the walls and ceiling would come down! People was out of their minds. But that wasn't still their big shot: ATITUDE followed by Roots Bloody Roots was definitively the moment of my life! Yeah: I am a big Roots fan! I wasn't expecting anything from Lazarus A.D. Man, those guys kick ass! Great music, and really skilled musicians! The guy on the drums looked to be from another world! That was and actual lesson of how skilled and responsible musicians should be! A while after, Cavalera Conspiracy brought down the house! After 26 years on the road, we can't expect Max to be jumping like a teenager. But the charisma to the public and the great performance of the Cavalera brothers is always impressive! And man, they got really good musicians: their guitar played had some freaking great energy and interaction to the public!

Show performance wise was top notch, however there seemed to be no end to the technical difficulties. The stage hands were on stage almost as much as the band
