    winning performance

by howitzer89 on 2011-05-09Rogers Arena (formerly General Motors Place) - Vancouver

im going to start and say that i found the show very entertaining. it was more then i expected. russel and charlie were feeding off eachothers energy. it was a rollercoaster ride of emotions and storys with very funny jokes and interesting details. the show did start late and it did end early because russel had a flight to catch back to toronto. as for the reviews given for the show, i feel that they were crap. they stated that people were leaving the show and nearly booing him off stage which was clearly crap as the entire croud was on there feet as he entered the building and left. bottom line is if he came back to vancouver i would go back and watch the show.

    Not even an effort

by mikw on 2011-05-08Rogers Arena (formerly General Motors Place) - Vancouver

Don't get me wrong their was some funny moments but if Russell Peters wasn't involved this show would have been just plain ugly. The organization of the show was problematic- It felt like a watered-down, weak talk show. CS and RP sat on two chairs, dialogued for the majority of the show and a guitar player shared their stage, basically playing an add-lib role the whole night. Most of it seemed spontaneous and without thought of the presentation to the audience or even basic entertainment props like- pictures to accompany the conversation (maybe of people, movies, situations, they were discussing), some scene involving a talent outside of the constant mediocre banter, or even suitable scene-based music. There was very little garish, 'over the top,' angry or offensive behavior (which we assumed the show would be based upon). As a human being, CS looked rough. He wore dirty, stained, track pants had a sunken face, beaten smile, while he chain smoked all night. He claimed his makeup man was not able to get into Canada. Judging by the look of Charlie, my guess is that the makeup man wasn't even in North America.

    Honest portrait

by ElDorado2345 on 2011-05-05Rogers Arena (formerly General Motors Place) - Vancouver

Charlie Sheen wasn't an experience I'll never forget, nor was it what I thought it would be, but walking out of Rogers Arena after seeing his show, I was left with a sense of satisfaction. I'm sure many in attendance thought there would be some sort of stand-up-comedian aspect to the show, especially after it was announced that Russell Peters would be there, but then again, Sheen never told us what his show was about. I enjoyed the discussion and story-telling that took place. At times, it seemed as if Peters' clever quips to the crowd held the show together, but Sheen was the man everyone came to see and Peters' respected that. Sure there were the famous catchphrases and insults to CBS, but it was Sheen's life stories that made the show a respectable and intimate one.

    just as expected

by amorecapri on 2011-05-04Rogers Arena (formerly General Motors Place) - Vancouver

one can't expect alot to happen from a Charlie Sheen show. Bottomline he's a well known actor who works in the entertainment industry, who's been involved in movies and television. The bonus is that he gets paid for what he chose to do with his life. Whether or not others agree to what he says, it's one's beliefs against others. Fortunately, we all have our own beliefs to stand by that goes along with our own reasons whether or not others agree to our beliefs. C'est l'avie. As It is one's choice to see celebrities such as Charlie sheen. Along with the choice we choose, we deal with the consequences, good and bad, however the show maybe. i didn't expect him to sing because i know he's not a singer. For Charlie Sheen to get up on stage and talk about anything is exactly what i expected to see. but moreso hear what he had to say in order for me to appreciate his show.

    Charlie Sheen was brutally honest.

by Shanaya37 on 2011-05-04Rogers Arena (formerly General Motors Place) - Vancouver

I was glad to have gone to his show. Even though he and Russell Peters just talked about stuff I was entertained by Charlie's honesty in sharing his life experiences, good and bad.
