Charlotte Gainsbourg Tickets

Charlotte Gainsbourg gave a barely-there performance at Park West on wednesday. Her vocal style is minimalist, and on stage, combined with the fact that she seemed like a deer in the headlights and barely communicated with the audience, it made for quite a boring evening. The set was almost saved by a crack band, that seemed to realize that it really had to backstop poor Charlotte, who is beautiful, but not nearly talented either as a singer or a performer to pull off being a headliner.

Charlotte was just like I expected, shy, cute and comfortable on stage. Her genes go a long way. She did not realize that there were a lot of french speakers in the room , otherwise she would have sung more songs in French

The show was amazing, real, inspiring and exhilarating. Charlotte is a great performer, so sweet and demure. But her voice.. it just transports you to a different world. She sang so many songs and her band was awesome too. Well worth the ticket purchase.
