Seeing Sammy n Michael together again was totally cool. First time seeing Joe. What a monster! Even though Chad was unable to continue the tour, I think they found a new 'permanent' drummer!!
Sammy was his great old self. Joe and Mike played awsome. The FOOT ROCKED Vegas
Excellent show...amazing guitar, bass, vocals, and drums. Great energy and a real good feel to the whole show that got people on their (chicken) feet all night. Fun, tight, and high impact show... a must see
Everything was fantastic!! From the sound to the song selections to the chemistry between the band mates!
Very good show!! Sound was excellent! Sammy over 60? NOT A CHANCE!!!
The whole band seemed like they really enjoy what they do and it came through in their performance. Sammy Hagar is the quintessential rocker, his vocals still sound fantastic! Really fun show with some interesting visuals.
Outstanding venue , for out of town folk . Great people in Seattle , very freindly and helpful, lots of older folk at this concert , some of them should of chilled on the booze ...lol. Now about the band , well last time I saw Sammy was "88 and he can still hit some notes for an old guy. Joe was amazing once again as always , blew away the crowd , some did'nt know the man,now they know him. Great show , Black Stone Cherry was a little lame for a 3 album band , boys need to grow up.
The only thing that would have improved this concert was a backstage pass.....Loved every minute of this show. Chickenfoot is so fun to watch, they know how to deliver. The sound was amazing, what a great night!!
Sammy, Joe, Michael and Kenny! Wow, a totally mind blowing experience. I saw it LIVE Man! I heard Chickenfoot was good, I like their two CDs, but I was not prepared for the experience itself. Chickenfoot is at the top right now. The best concert I have seen this year. I was at Van Halen Three weeks ago, no comparison. Sammy on Lead Vocals and Joe Satriani on guitar, with Michael Anthony on Bass and Kenny Aronoff on drums covering for Chad Smith on tour with The Red Hot Chili Peppers. Kenny was Earth Shattering on those Drums. You have to get Chickenfoot and Chickenfoot III. ( Really, second one called Chickenfoot III.) Sammy played guitar on Future In The Past. Joe and Sammy definitely have a special relationship. they feed from each other's talent. It works, the combination with Michael Anthony's bass and vocals are the secret ingredients. Since their conception back in 2008, Chickenfoot was dubbed, The Superband! Every generation has one, This one is Chickenfoot. They reinvented themselves into a great band, Great talent and great sound. Everyone of their songs is a hit. Oh Yeah, Big Foot, Soap on A Rope, Sexy Little Thing are some of the hits. New ones will be Turning Left for sure and Different Devil. Seeing them live is the key. They shook the rafters with those Satriani Monstrous Guitar Riffs and Sammy's perfect vocals. Sammy sounds just like back in 1973 when he was in Ronnie Montrose's 'Montrose'. They Joked that they felt like teenagers again, that they had come full circle. I fell off my chair when I was told Sammy was 64. I was saddened when I heard Ronnie Montrose passed away in March. Heaven has a Hell of a Band! Sammy mentioned that Their song ' Up Next " was about those we had lost but that this year was the worst for losing the talent we had. The show was like those I had gone to back in the 1970's. So much Canibis was smoked, Sammy joked they were getting high from it on stage, that on previous trips to Vancouver to record, with as he joked he didn't want to say the name...Van Halen..they partied the same. The animosity is there with Van Halen, but it did not retract from the show. This show is number one of the year. They all had a blast. The last song performed was Montrose's Rock Candy. I had brought the Montrose self titled album cover with me. I held it up , Sammy saw it, pointed to me to bring it up. I ran up to him, he grabbed the album, Held it up like the trophy it was and autographed it while singing "Hot Sweet and Sticky...Rock Candy Baby!" I was part of the show man, High fives, Air guitar Rock and Roll Party. He really was feeling young as was I . The whole Queen Elizabeth Theatre rocked like it had not before. This was Chickenfoot's night. They brought the house down. I got one of Michael Anthony's guitar picks too. The show opened with a high energy, band from Kentucky, Black Stone Cherry. They are a cross between Lynyrd Skynyrd and Black Label Society. Holy Crap, what a rocking band. They were a high energy, amazing talented quartet that did some incredible original greats and a cover of Joe Walsh's Rocky Mountain Way, I'll call it Kentucky Fried Rocky Mountain Way! It was mind blowing. A great opener for a Superband! If you get the chance, get to a Chickenfoot show, See Sammy, Joe, Michael and Kenny. You just don't know when the show will be over. You will be the better for it. Trust me! Rock and Roll Baby! Thanks Guys. For everything!
