Concert Band and Symphonic Band Tickets

I was looking for some sort of special music show to go to with my girlfriend and I have heard such wonderful things about River Rock Casinos shows. I have read articles speaking of comparisons of Vegas acts and more. This show was far below anything I expected, especially after paying 127$ for of us to leave at intermission. The caliber of the performances (vocally) was far below what I expected. The show looked unrehearsed, lyrically the 'original songs were barely making it through. And on that note I can't believe an orchestra would play to a unperfected 'pop-like' song (second song - was insinuated it was original) The main 'Tenor' was constantly yelling at the audience to be quiet. THAT IS A BIG NO NO, you have ushers to settle the crowd and remove people if need be, DON"T STOP THE SHOW, COMPLAIN ABOUT YOUR COSTUME CHANGE BEING TOO LONG, AND THEN YELL AT THE AUDIENCE TO BE QUIET, ALL DURING THE INTRODUCTION OF YOUR FEMALE SINGER... Just ridiculous, and after my girlfriend watched other girls in the audience receive roses during a number (which was great) she was then given a stick with leaves on it... JUST DONT GIVE OUT ANYMORE, don't hand out something which most would consider garbge... Also a chinese folk song was chosen (beautiful for the most part) till it ended with (and I am sure something is lost in the translation) "Take your thin whip and hit me gently till"... something like that. So to sum up, the caliber of the show was not good. I am not only angered about the money I spent but a Valentines day which we have that to remember. And to River Rock Casino, I can't believe that was acceptable for your theatre. We left at intermission. Plus the performance program title page was a picture of flowers with a ticket stub to the show in black and white.... just ridiculous... JI
