    Love Courtney, but she seemed tired

    Courtney is great, but unfortunately she seemed tired and was way less energetic then last time I saw her. Also, I was disappointed the concert was moved from the Commodore to the Vogue. I like the Commodore much better, and the security at the Vogue are ridiculous when it comes to cameras. They won’t let you use cameras that other venues, like the Commodore will allow.

    super impressive 3-piece

    I'm not sure if Courtney normally travels in a 3-piece band, but I was super impressed by their sound. Super dynamic band, ranging from rocking grunge to 70s punk to modern indie rock, and they do it all well. Courtney sounds wonderful.

    Courtney Barnett rips roof off Danforth Music Hall

    Set against a somewhat Art Deco backdrop Aussie Courtney Barnett ripped a strip off the roof of the Danforth Music Hall last night. Her music, energy and style could be from any of 4 decades, from 70's and on, timeless. From her blast away Ramones rant in some songs to a laid back haunting sound of Velvet Underground in a opening encore song 'Anonymous Club' she demonstrates a complete un-filtered message of energy and passion. And wow such an impressive light show using only a minimum of equipment so creatively. I was blown away.

    Courtney Barnett is a force to be reckoned with!

    Courtney Barnett (with her trio) is easily one of the best songwriters out there right now, and after seeing her live performance, I now know that not only is she the queen of WRITING songs, but also performing them. Her and her band's energy and slick chemistry with one another equals a fun, enjoyable and rockin' good time. Seriously, go buy her music and have great vibes with it!
