Daniel Taylor - Four Thousand Winter - perfection!

    by Carignan on 2016-02-26CHAPELLE NOTRE-DAME-DE-BONSECOURS - Montréal

The choice of the program and the quality of the rendition were both remarkable! Daniel Taylor's personal warmth and professional standards were fully reflected in the quality of the music. WHAT AN EXPERIENCE!!! Remarkable, unique, difficult to match!

Daniel Taylor is in a class by himself.

    by AnneandRuss on 2013-03-05CHAPELLE NOTRE-DAME-DE-BONSECOURS - Montréal

So glad we could hear him live in that beautiful space. And, yes, I think it was super to include the audience in the performance of the chorales. Too bad there weren't enough copies of the music to go around but Kate and Rachael, clever ladies, managed to find the music on their smart phones and join in in two part harmony. And then there was pretty much anything Taylor and Agnes Zsigovics sang together (swoon). The way he warms a note is like watching a stop-motion video of a flower blooming.

An evening of pure musical joy!

by LaCastafiore on 2011-03-31George Weston Recital Hall at the Toronto Centre for the Arts - Toronto

I thoroughly enjoyed the lovely selection of Italian and German Baroque music by Jeanne Lamon for Tafelmusik to perform with splendid Marco Cera at the oboe and Bassoonist Dominic Teresi. As usual, the Tafelmusik musicians were first class and I particularly admired Charlotte Nediger at her beautiful new harpsichord. As to Daniel Taylor and his marvellous voice, it was a pure delight to listen to his singing, , "Amarilli mia bella", soothing honey, and his exciting "vivace" encores! A very enjoyable , relaxing and beautiful evening, which made you forget all the bad news in the world, symetry and logic of Baroque music divinely interpreted..
