Danko Jones - Proud but loud

by disturbia on 2015-05-06The Danforth Music Hall - Toronto

I can't think of another artist that's as fun to see as Danko Jones. Always funny, a little angry and opinionated. There's lots of chat with the crowd and the songs are infectious and energetic. On that front, all was amazing, as usual. I did find it on the loud side however. My clothes were vibrating. It’s true, I am getting older, but it was so loud it became difficult to separate the vocals from the sheer wall of guitar. Opening acts Wrong Hole and Say Yes were weird and pretty good, respectively.

    Danko Jones rocks!!! Electrifying!!!

by Star777 on 2015-04-27The Danforth Music Hall - Toronto

Danko Jones rocks the house... Amazing! They are a above what you pay for and are Rockstars without the recognition. From begin to end they rocked made you laugh and had you pumped. Didn't even realize that it wasn't full of frills and things just old fashion rock band. No explosions or video clips so they can go and stretch their legs and change into something pretty before the next set. If you haven't seen Danko Jones you haven't lived.

    Great show!

Danko rocked the house! And the opening band (The Lazys) was cool, too. Rockers from Australia with great stage presence and high energy.

Danko provided a great show. No complaints. Danforth Music Hall on the other hand could use either a better sound system (or sound technician - I don't know). As usual it was just loud.

    Brilliant

by TrixieH73 on 2014-03-17The Danforth Music Hall - Toronto

Saw Danko Jones 2 weeks in a row !! This show in Toronto I had brought a friend whom had never heard of Danko Jones before, Yes..Sad but true, She was amazed to see how Interactive the band mates are to the crowd, Needless to say..She will be going out & buying their albums, Once again Danko’s setlist did NOT disappoint. The guys more than made up for with unbridled energy, It was contagious seeing bassist JC, His smile & Energy that was brought to the crowd, Rich on the drums rocked out harder than ever before & they gave every ounce of energy humanly possible, I can not wait to see them again, Great job guys,

    Danko Jones simply outstanding

by tbready on 2014-03-17The Danforth Music Hall - Toronto

I have been a fan of Danko Jones for a few years now albeit just by buying their albums. Boy did I miss the bus by not seeing them live until the first time Friday at The Danforth Music Hall. The show was intense and electrifying from start to finish with Danko's patented sense of humour thrown in for good measure. This band deserves a lot more recognition in North America for their talent and action-packed live show. I am sorry Danko that I have not seen your show before and will be sure to catch the next one soon. Do yourself a favour and pick up his documentary/live DVD to get a true insight into this hard working Canadian band.
