    Better remembered as he was!!!!!

by Anonymous on 2013-10-20Deerfoot Inn & Casino - Calgary

What a shame!!! Honestly, was this really the David Cassidy I had plastered all over my wall from the age of 11?? Surely this rambling, ego-centric, poor guitar playing "has been" wasn't him?? Of course the atrocious sound system he had to work with did not help things, but that apart, he promised he'd sing all the favourites and he didn't even get close, even the ones he did sing, were a dim shadow of what he once produced. As my stoic husband said, as we sat there shaking our heads, "Sometimes legends are better kept in our memories".

    Worst concert ever

by SZee on 2013-10-19Deerfoot Inn & Casino - Calgary

He had problems with his microphone, guitar cord, the monitors and then complained his guitar was out of tune. He yelled at the sound man and production assistants and was constantly whipping the guitar cord back and forth. There was feedback and crackling in the speakers. I attend many concerts at the Deerfoot Casino each year and they have never had issues with a performer like we experienced. David was like Jekyl and Hyde-rambling on and nostalgic about his song writing and wonderful fans, and then repeating himself and yelling twice at a couple of fans. He even threw one person's album cover into the crowd and ranted about what are they thinking and why do they even come to the concert- they should just leave. Yeah, we get that you don't sign anything! He forgot words to songs and constantly interrupted them to reminisce or to start complaining again. There was no encore. He really needs help and is in a very bad way! I feel sorry for him, but I know there is some talent there if he would only give it a chance to shine! We all remember the Keith Partridge guy and love him to pieces, but obviously David Cassidy needs to come clean. The musicians playing with him were top notch-the bass player even handed out guitar picks after the concert.

    David Cassidy - poor performance

    by wildcolours62 on 2013-10-17Deerfoot Inn & Casino - Calgary

David Cassidy was drunk, hostile to fans & talked too much. He performed less than 90 minutes. Still has a terrific voice but left the majority of the fans very disappointed & asking for refunds. Sound problems - speaker static, mic, cords, no sound in monitor ... did anyone bother with a sound check?

    Very disappointing

by Anonymous on 2013-10-16Deerfoot Inn & Casino - Calgary

David appeared to be drunk. He was rude to the Deerfoot staff, and several audience members. He staggered about the stage constantly complaining about the cord on his guitar. He messed up the words to the songs and talked more than he sang. I was sorry that I went to this concert. It was a waste of money and shattered the fond memories that I had of David as a teenager. We would have left during the show, but he probably would have yelled at us too.

    DOA

    by les85 on 2013-10-16Deerfoot Inn & Casino - Calgary

DOA stands for drunk on arrival, or so it seemed. This was horrific. DO NOT go to see David Cassidy until he has been treated for his demons.

Not too sure about David Cassidy

by burke on 2013-10-15Deerfoot Inn & Casino - Calgary

Firstly, there was a BIG problem with the sound system, very bad crackling and booming sound. Secondly, I was wondering if David was drinking or on drugs before the show because he repeated himself a few times, talking about the band for a very long period at the beginning and throughout the show.

It was sad to see David like this, wasted from the minute he hit the stage. The show was a big disappointment. The songs were few and far between his rumblings. What a shame.
