Saw these guys at the Skookum Festival and had to see them again! Energetic unique music that makes you move! Won’t be long before they are big! The concept of blending 3 musical genres - East Indian, Celtic and North American - works fabulously- Truly Canadian !
saw them play the vogue and it was a great show musically, lots of energy and sound was excellent. great fusion of musical genres. This show was disappointing: sound was weak, band has moved more toward an electron techno sound which made for a very generic show. sorry ravers, but techno is mindless and boring and I came to see people actually play their own instruments. New fiddler is talented but could have been anybody in the arrangement. Girl who played with them before had a bigger presence and transformed the music bringing out the celtic in the fusion. Commodore is usually good but has changed for the worse. When did all the fascist rules come in. The fusion sound has been the highlight of celtic fest shows but the band has moved in a different direction. Funk Hunters were okay but just another DJ act. While I appreciate that it takes some skills to do what they do , i don't think it compares to actual musicianship and is really just background music and boring to watch. Not much of a show there and something I can see in virtually any nightclub for less or free. Didn't stick around for their second set when they actually played some instruments.
What a great show. Will be going to see them again and bringing all my friends. The drumming was incredible! I danced the whole time and the energy never lacked. I was on such a rush when I left. Highly, highly recommend.
I've seen D2D 3 times and they always deliver a high energy good time.
This is my third time seeing this rockin' band and they did not disappoint! Their combination of bangra, celtic, and dance beats kept everyone moving for their entire set! We were only sorry that there was an opening band because we would have loved to have them on stage for the whole evening.
Amazing energy, wonderful musicians. Loved the Bollywood/Celtic fusion.
Delhi 2 Dublin is AWESOME! I have never been disappointed by their live shows (4th time live). It's such a unique blend of sounds - and always a high energy performance. Sadly, my group of friends and I missed some of the show on account of when the band hit the stage. The tickets listed doors open at 8pm, and that the band was performing w/ special guests (thus we assume an opener at the least). Having been to shows at the same venue previously - we assumed the band wouldn't hit the stage until about 9:30pm at the earliest (which is common for most small concert venues AND exactly what I had experienced 1 week prior at a different show, same venue). Much to our surprise, the band got on stage at 8:30pm and by the time we arrived we had missed 2/3 of the show!
I saw Delhi 2 Dublin last summer at an outdoor folk festival, and they were incredible. I'm glad to see them doing so well. Great Toronto show. They are all so energetic and talented. The sound on the violin was poor unfortunately. She needed to be turned up to compete with the percussion.

The venue was perfect for the event, not too big not too small. The music was incredible, and resulted in one of the best vibes at a show I've seen in a while. Great music and great energy. Would go again in a heartbeat.
