Would definately see Dr Hook again. Every song was a favorite!
WoW, thats all I can say! Ray Sawyer is a living legend! It was such a thrill to see this man , to see his love for his craft, to see him walk out on stage in his late 70's and do what he has done for so many years.....entertain!!!!! One of my very favorite shows I've seen, just simply because the man was there to entertain us, no pyro no flash no glitter, just sang his heart out. A true legend!!
This was a pretty good show. His voice wasn't like it was years ago but that was expected as he is 77 years old. Everyone seemed to have a good time.
It was my 2nd time seeing Dr Hook at the Deerfoot Casino Venue. The first time was in March 2014 and I enjoyed the music but was not too impressed with the comments about needing more beer, etc. This time there was no reference to that and the non stop music was very good. I had thought there would be more references to the show being his farewell tour but there was not. Overall, an enjoyable evening.
The event was fantastic! The only thing I would recommend is having a dance floor or area.
There is really nothing good to say about this concert. I have never heard anyone butcher a song, especially their own, soooooo badly. I think he should have retired 20 years ago. Very disappointing. I do love the venue.
Had lots of fun but with Ray Sawyer being 77 years old, it is time for him to hang up the microphone. Was good to sing along to the songs. Had we not, we laughed the whole time at how bad he sounded. One of his band mates did an Eric Clapton cover and we wished that he would continue singing the rest of the evening. Was awesome that Ray Sawyer's son plays drums in his Dad's band. Opening act David 'Jukebox" Leigh was amazing. Regardless of my comments, it was a fun night and I have no regrets going.
OMG! what a fun time, even tho he is 77yrs old and doesn't sing in tune anymore he was funny and entertaining! The crowd loved him and we had a blast. The opening act was great!
Most of the time his voice sounded harsh and he sang off key. He should probably retire
