Coming down from Trois-Rivières, we weren't in a rush. So we missed the first band. We were supprised to see that the upper section of the Metropolis was closed, they probably didn't sale enough tickets. Monday night is proably not the best day for a show i guest.
Four bands was probably to much. The last three groups were big and ancient enough to provide 3 to 4 hours of show. So Blood red thorn and Enslaved didn't had the chance to play as much song as the public was probably expecting.
Blood red thorn were pretty tight, i didn't expect much more then what i heard. They had a few good moments of originality. But overall it was pretty much copy and past from one song to another.
Enslaved realy stoled the show, the were completly amazing. My freind that is pretty good musician didn't knew them to much and he really pleased me for the discovered he just had. Those guys were really tight, they really had a exceptionnal chemistry as they share there passion true music with us. Enslaved were realy worth the price even if they just played for about an hour. I was realy sad to only see them for that short period of time. Can wait to see them coming back alone.
Dimmu Borgir: Sorry guys, but you didn't grow so much over time. They still play the same patern over and over. It's like music for pre-pubert kids. To much of a commercial band that have a good promotion, good image and good set-up but nothing to share except selling there stuff. Probably they do to much what they are told then what they should! We left after 30 min. of it's boring Dimu...
Overall, the sound was realy good like it is pretty much all the time at Metropolis.
Sorry for my poor english.
