    Discover the Dinosaurs

by eventreviewer1 on 2015-12-04Edmonton EXPO Centre - Edmonton

I felt that the amount of money I paid for one child and one adult was far to much money for what we got out of the event. The dinosaurs were less than appealing and it felt a bit scarce. There should have been more interaction and activities. It felt like they through it together last min and we were done the entire exhibit in a under a hour. Very dissapointed.

    It wasn't worth the money

by monstermeow on 2015-12-02Edmonton EXPO Centre - Edmonton

The animatronic dinosaurs were very cool, but not that interesting to my 6 year old. The rest of the play stations were fitted for toddlers. There was some bouncy houses for the older kids, but definitely not worth $20 we had to pay as an adult to watch our child play in bouncy houses. The mini golf was just that, very very mini! 5 hole course in a very small space. What was more disappointing is that we drove from Red Deer to Edmonton to see this show, which involved more spending.

Waste of money! Small and the dinosaurs and animatronics had seen better days. Not worth the $50+ spent on tickets.

    Not worth the money

by Bittylicious on 2015-12-01Edmonton EXPO Centre - Edmonton

I ordered the tickets online way ahead. When we arrived at the event the tickets were on sale at the door for cheaper than i paid ahead of time online. INFURIATING!! We paid $25.00 for each adult and $30.00 for our 4 year old. Upon entering the event there is one animatronic dinosaur and a guy taking photos. Then you walk through a maze of empty hallway with the odd animatronic dinosaur until you get to a counter where you can purchase your previously taken green screen photo for $20 regular print or $30 3D!!! Ridiculous!! And it's cash only!! No warning, before you enter the event maze, that you would need cash and no machine nearby. Next, there were three riding dinosaurs (statues with chairs that shook) and a shopping area. After that you enter a bouncy castle area and area where there was face painting (not included in the ticket price - min extra $6) and gem/fossil mining (costs extra) and a 5 hole mini golf. Took all of an hour to get through everything and most of that time was spent in the bouncy castles. Not worth the money. I expected more for the price we paid not to mention I was rather upset about the price difference at the door.

Waste of Time, Money and Excitment

by Sher1y on 2015-12-01Edmonton EXPO Centre - Edmonton

With the craze of dinosaurs happening this year, I was excited to attend another dinosaur themed event. Unfortunately, the $48 I spent on tickets was a waste. Not to mention the additional $10 for parking when we stayed a maximum of 15 minutes (including watching some of their horrible 'movie'). This was a very sad excuse of an event; the worst that I have ever attended. While walking through I figured that even though the gallery sucked, perhaps the store would be decent (as you know that all they want is money) - but even that was a sad excuse for a store. A bunch of cheaply made plastic dinosaurs and that was pretty much it. Rating system for this doesn't allow 0 stars or in this case minus 5 stars but please take my advise and DO NOT ATTEND this event.

    We discovered disappointment.

by Hillie on 2015-12-01Edmonton EXPO Centre - Edmonton

The exhibit was actually quite small. The Dinos were in rough shape. Some had foam sticking out of the incredibly fake looking rubber skin. One of the ride on Dinos was broken and didn't work at all, the other two barely moved. One of the ride operators thought his cell phone was more important than my daughter on the ride. She was asking to stop but he was completely oblivious. The exhibit is grossly overly priced and in need of repair. Don't waste your money.

    Very disappointed

by Awefull on 2015-11-25Big Four Building - Calgary

The pictures of the exibit were awesome so I thought it looked great, but in person it was a very sad underwhelming show. We bought the plus ticketes, but that was a waist of money because all kids were allowed in the plus activities which the dino dig was a couple of sad sand boxes on the ground with not much in them them. We waited 45 mins to go in a bouncy castle and the kids got a 2 min turn inside. The face painting was an addition $12! After paying $15 for parking and $25 per child for tickets. The gem station was addition charge also, I'm sure mini golf was more money but it looked so bad we would have even bothered if it was free. Seriously don't bother going

    Not worth the money!

by kjohnson0201 on 2015-11-24Big Four Building - Calgary

I did not find that this event was worth either the money or the wait. Although the few moving dinosaurs were interesting, it wasn't anything more interesting than what you could see at the Calgary Zoo. We went through the entire exhibit within about 20 minutes. The activities were minimal so had long line-ups, plus were not educational or even dinosaur related. Overall I was quite disappointed and we do not plan to go again.

Discover the Dinosaurs did not impress.

by Calgarian2 on 2015-11-24Big Four Building - Calgary

Not worth the money. Most of the mechanical dinosaurs displayed were damaged and did not function properly. The ones that did not move were dusty and worn. Huge line-ups to get in because there was not enough staff to check tickets. Mini golf course was dusty and dirty. Brushes at bone dig sites were old and broken. Felt like it was just slapped together to separate us from our money.

    not worth it

by Anonymous on 2015-11-21big four building - Calgary

Way over priced for what they have, most of the dinosaurs need some repairs. Quite small, if you live in Calgary better to just go to the zoo and walk through the dinosaurs exhibit there, they are better quality. Or even better take the trip out to deumheller. Even with the plus pass for the kids most of the extra things inside cost additional money. The only thing they were excited about was the bounce house
