A very skilled guitarist! Both he and the opening act showed amazing talent; very entertaining!

    Don Ross was great!

by Winterpegman on 2014-03-01West End Cultural Centre - Winnipeg

Went to see Don Ross at the West End Cultural Centre in Winnipeg. Perfect venue for Don. His "warm up" act - Daniel Champagne was incredibly entertaining as well.

    Don Ross is a master.

Some people would prefer Don to play the entire time without speaking. I, on the other hand, found my favourite part of the concert to to be the stories between the songs.

    Don Ross is the man!

by JoeyJoeJoe1 on 2010-11-18The Studio at Hamilton Place - Hamilton

A great, under-attended and under-appreciated performance. Tell Hamilton to go home and listen to more Rhyanna and Flo Ryder or whoever the heck is on the radio these days. "And the crowd goes wild..", Don smartly joked when they took to the stage and encountered Dead Silence from the audience. I hope the rainy Hamilton night and the half-dead crowd does not discourage Don and friends from coming back soon, sheesh. Ewan was brilliant, we were totally hypnotized watching him play. He played flawlessly too, despite being totally on the spot and the first guy up there. The sound tech dudes did an ok job, unfortunately there were some sound balancing issues and the audience could not hear the Bass player, like ... at all. The poor dude was soloing his heart out at least twice and could not be heard. One other lower spot in the show - Klimbim is not a peice to play as a duet.. or 3-some, 4-some etc. The show version just came across as noise. Having heard Don perform this song solo on youtube about 200 times now, I really believe it is better as a solo performance.
