The hall is fantastic. The band was tight and in fine form. Donald Fagan was an engaging host that clearly loved the songs and his fellow entertainers. All the featured vocalist were superb. The mix lacked top end up in the balcony.
It was very exciting and entertaining to have three of rock and roll's old guard combine their impressive talents. Donald Fagen, Michael McDonald and Boz Scaggs, possessors of strong solo careers as well as distinguished rock pedigree (Steely Dan, Doobie Brothers), rocked the Fox Theatre in Detroit. Their blend of personal material with some cuts from their favorite influences including Ray Charles, The Band, Aretha Franklin and others was a smashing success. A highly recommended concert to experience.
