About

Australian electro-pop duo Empire of the Sun possess a well-proven ability to entertain. Known for their epic performances chock-full of production value and artistic flare, the band treated fans to one of the most exciting and synergistic concert experiences of the 2013 summer festival circuit. Accompanied on stage by a troupe of costumed dancers and state-of-the-art visuals, Empire of the Sun wowed ticket holders across the US and Europe with their energetic sets of danceable hits like "Alive" from 2013's Ice on the Dune.

Empire of the Sun began as the side project of musicians Luke Steele of The Sleepy Jackson and Nick Littlemore of Pnau.  With the success of their 2008 debut album Walking on a Dream, the project became a focal point for the duo, resulting in their first live performances as a band in 2009. In 2013, their sophomore album Ice on the Dune reached No. 3 in Australia and No. 20 on the US Billboard 200, with lead single "Alive" receiving the remix treatment by some of the world's top DJs including David Guetta, Zedd and DJ Tiesto. With their electrifying performance style, adrenalized synths, and electro beats, the duo is not afraid to push the limits of showmanship, leaving fans eager for their 2014 performances.

So entertaining, can't help but dance!

by Rockadoodle on 2017-04-18The Chelsea at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas - Las Vegas

One of the most engrossing concerts I've been to in a long time. The entertainment value and full production of the concert was amazing. The lead singer is a phenomenal performer and the addition of stage dancers makes it so you can't help but be into the whole concert. The sound and live versions of all their songs were amazing. If you are a fan or not this is definitely a concert to go see.

    It went beyond my expectations!

by Soheila on 2015-09-19Orpheum Theatre - Vancouver

Oh my God, I was blown away. The creativity this band has is exceptional. Bold, colorful, energetic, and happy vibes from the crowd and band. Luke was amazing, the dancers were amazing, the whole show was amazing. I took my mom who's in her late 50s and has never heard their music or been to a concert before and she was so happy and impressed. We both had a blast. I can't wait until the next time they come around. I'm definitely bringing more people.

    great show, poor venue

by nicknamealreadytakenbyme on 2015-09-19Orpheum Theatre - Vancouver

of course indisputably great performance, choreography, reality of the show. Down to earth artist that knows how to communicate with the audience. New and old songs...animated on a huge screen with special effects lighting. this said, the venue did not do justice, poor quality of the sound in a theater that seemed built for classical plays where the spectators would be seated quietly while restricted with their movements. This band wants you to feel the vibe, alive and make you jump with no restrictions!

    Only half the band showed!

by RLPg on 2013-10-25Orpheum Theatre - Vancouver

We drove over 10 hrs from northern BC to see Empire of the Sun. When they came on stage only one member of the band played. Nick Littlemore was nowhere to be seen nor was there an explaination as to why not or where he was.. The concert was very short and almost looked as though it was very unorganized and 'winged' from his no show. We did alot of travelling and at least an explaination would have been suficiant. Very dissappointed :(
