    Esthero was fantastique

by LanaTurnerBitches on 2010-06-28Lee's Palace - Toronto

Wow, simply put....this was without a question of doubt one of the best concerts ive went to. Esthero, performed her heart out, she engaged the crowd, I think we all felt so connected to her. Its great to see such down to earth, talented performers like this. If you have not seen her in concert, it is a MUST!!! Incredible and so memorable, Thanks Esthero. :)

    Esthero looked better than ever.....

by teddyfinx on 2010-06-28Lee's Palace - Toronto

Felt like I was at the talk show with a mix of slow jams. She did 2 throw backs one of which I don't even count as a throw back. She did however "unleash" a new set of tracks on the audience but most we're slow and thrown together without enough practice from the band. She seemed to be having fun. The opening act whom I didn't catch there name was fantastic. They were a fusion of musical instruments and the 4 band members all played multiple instruments including accordion, harp, and double bass. They had a lot of energy and were fund to watch.

    Life altering!

    by chicksfly78 on 2010-06-28Lee's Palace - Toronto

There is nothing like seeing Esthero live! She is so supremely talented. And her band and back up singers are awesome. You feel like you are part of their crew at the concert. There was a raging thunderstorm before the concert, and the venue was late to open, so the entire crowd was soggy and cold, but as soon as the opening act came on we were all instantly happy. Maylee Todd was a pleasure! The crowd was mature, considerate, and truly appreciative. Brand new songs were played and the crowd cheered just as much for them as for older, well known songs. This was probably my favourite concert moment ever! I'm not sure if the total vibe could be recreated outside of Toronto, but I truly hope Esthero gets the warm welcome she recieved here everywhere she goes, and that more and more people get to know her music.

    Esthero: Beautiful, but Missing Something

by Bootums on 2010-06-28Lee's Palace - Toronto

This girl can SING. Gorgeous voice and beautiful music, but it seemed like the set had been put together without considering the flow of the night (a little too mellow, too much new (albeit lovely) material clumped together, without enough old favourites peppered in). A lot of the banter, which had seemed charming and endearing 5 years ago at her concert at the Warehouse, was a little disappointing to hear repeated almost word for word this time around. Esthero's ability to see the beauty and opportunity for magic in a silly moment are unmatched however, and a phone call to a friend and sing-along with her dad made the evening still feel unique and special.

Incredible talent, and even better live!

by Kymberlee on 2010-06-28Lee's Palace - Toronto

I have been a huge fan of Esthero for many years, but have never had the good fortune of seeing her perform live (short of some YouTube videos). This lady does NOT disappoint. The "pink pirate" interacts with the audience like no one else, making the show very intimate. Esthero's vocal talents are unmatched, and she sounds even better live (something I would have never thought possible given her talent). She is easily the most underrated musician/performer/songwriter in the industry. Epic...epic...epic performance.

    Esthero rocks!

by Karena on 2010-06-28Lee's Palace - Toronto

While Esthero is an amazing artist, the sound system did not give her justice. Considering the venue though, it was understanable and still a lot of fun!

    She's baaaaaaaaaaack!

by leeanease on 2010-06-28Lee's Palace - Toronto

The long awaited return of Esthero brought us some familiar tunes, Ron Sexsmith, a taste of what's to come, and family love. What more could we have asked for?
