    Coldplay was forgettable!!!

by Alexisonline on 2018-05-22London Music Hall - LONDON

A stellar performance from some veteran punters, the set list was perfect they played all their best known songs with a sprinkle of some new Jams. The crowd was small but everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. Keep on rockin!!

    Face to Face

by Anonymous on 2012-06-18Sound Academy - Toronto

It was a really good show, but there were three so-so opening acts, and Face to Face could have played longer.

    Good, old-school punk

by RustyMC on 2011-06-14Louis' Pub - Saskatoon

Solid, high-energy show. Had the opportunity to see four bands, including Strung Out, what a great price for the ticket! I went cuz my husband loves Face to Face. I didn't really know the music that well, but we both had a great time!

Face To Face Still Have It

by erneufel on 2011-05-16The Phoenix Concert Theatre - Toronto

Felt like I was 14 again and was in the pit the whole time. Tons of old songs, a few new ones (which were still good) and a long set. Band welcomed stage divers on stage and were extremely pleasant and engaged.

    Band = Amazing / Crowd = Suck

by Jokeman on 2011-05-16The Phoenix Concert Theatre - Toronto

I went to see Face to Face nearly 15 years ago when they came to Phoenix after the Big Choice tour. They rocked so hard they had a security fence and 6 massive security guards protecting the band. Fast forward 15 years, and the venue had no security wall and no visible security. The result was young drunks repeatedly climbing on stage (many of them over 10 times), bumping over the mic (happened 5 times), staying on stage for a whole song (one tall loser), staying between songs (3 times), and many jumping out over the crowd and into the mosh pit (sometimes hitting concrete). The worst part was one loser actually challenged the band to a fight on stage while the music was stopped. Overall, the band was amazing ... but the crowd made me embarrassed to be a Canadian. I wouldn't be surprised if Face to Face decided to never come back to Toronto.

I can't say enough, the show with Face to Face and Strung Out was absolutely Epic!! Face to Face took things back to the good old days of so-cal punk rock! Made me feel 15 years younger again!

Strung Out will always be the best

by Barry26 on 2011-05-15The Phoenix Concert Theatre - Toronto

The music was incredible. Opening bands were solid. First time hearing the darlings who put on a great show. Strung Out was amazing. Unfortunately I had to leave before face to face because they were not on til twelve because the Phoenix or who ever made us wait around for an entire hour before anyone went on which was a major piss off MAJOR

    Amazing Show!

    by Step79 on 2011-05-15Olympia Theatre - Montreal

We drove 2 hours to Montreal from Ottawa (come here next time!!) just for Face to Face. Arrived early at the venue at about 7:00 or so, anticipating a 7:30 start for the Darlings. I guess the peeps in Montreal like to be fashionably late because the venue was near empty. Should be said that the venue, the Olympia in Montreal, was amazing. Awesome balcony, friendly staff, great (yet somewhat distorted, but hey...it's a punk show) sound and good beer. What we didn't know was that there were actually FOUR bands on the bill. Checked out The Artist Life with about 200 or so people and they were excellent. Good energy, amazing bass player and some catchy tunes. Went outside for a bit (yay in-and-outs) and hung out with the massive crowd of late 20s early 30s folks that were gathering. Didn't catch much of the Darlings, but I heard they were good. THEN the people starting coming in...I was worried that Montreal's punk community was going to disappoint but like I said, fashionably late. At the moment we walked back in, there were about 1,800 people in the theatre, all standing room, all waiting for Strung Out. Serious moshing ensued for the entire Strung Out performance, which were a LOT darker and harder than I remembered. Felt like I was at a metal show for their set, which isn't exactly my thing but the darker elements of the crowd seemed to dig it. Then came face to face. Wow...what a show. I've been a fan of this band since I was 16 (I'm 32 now) and they did not disappoint. Trevor still has his knack of being light, friendly and crazy with the crowd which just imparts a great vibe on the whole show. At this point, 2,000 strong was PACKED in the Olympia. They started out with old school tracks from Big Choice and 96's self titled, and played a new song from their upcoming album. Awesome vibe, most people knew every word, jumping, fist pumping, moshing, crowd surfing etc....awesome vibe. They played maybe 3 "new" tracks altogether and about 13 old tracks that I recognized (and knew every word to!). Montreal really represented and I'm super impressed with the Olympia....I'll be back. Saw my favourite band of all time, for the first time...another one off the bucket list. Needless to stay face to face still rocks.
