About

FAITH NO MORE IN CONCERT:

Following a ten-year hiatus, hard-hitting funk rockers Faith No More returned in 2015 with a new album and the same captivating and dynamic live performances that made them a household name. Pitched halfway between alternative metal and straight-up funk, the band always gets heads banging and booties shaking at their live shows. Lead singer Mike Patton has all the crooning chops of a classic balladeer, but he sings with a punk rock edge that makes his angst-ridden vocals undeniably infectious. While he runs and jumps around the stage, the rest of the band gets down to the groove on hits like “Epic” and “We Care a Lot”. As the band hits the road in 2015 in support of their first new album in almost 18 years, ticket buyers can expect all of Faith No More’s classics as well as new material off Sol Invictus.

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Faith No More began in San Francisco in 1981 when founding members Roddy Bottum (keyboards), Billy Gould (bass), and Mike Bordin (drums) broke away from their previous band. Vocalist Chuck Mosley joined in 1983 and sang on the 1985 hit “We Care a Lot”, but the group didn’t truly take off until singer Mike Patton replaced Mosley. The band's 1989 breakthrough album The Real Thing included the top 10 hit “Epic”, which was nominated for a Grammy Award and received heavy airplay on MTV. The band released three more albums before announcing a hiatus in 1998 to focus on other projects. Rumblings of a reformation began when Faith No More played some one-off shows in England in 2009, though the group dismissed the prospect of recording new material. Following a full-fledged reunion tour, though, Faith No More thrilled fans with the announcement that they would release their seventh album Sol Invictus in 2015.

Great show missed by many due to high ticket price

by BillsRock on 2015-08-10Ricoh Coliseum - Toronto

Opening act Refused gets an A for effort in trying to get the very sparse crowd going . Normally these guys headline clubs on their own with 2000 people if 500 people saw them at this show they were lucky .. mix of old and new made for a good set but 50 mins was too short should have been at least 75 mins Faith No More were good as always only real complaint was the flow of the set list .. started off big went slower got heavy again and crowd faves and then slow again till the encore ended on a high note this show was very poorly attended due the extremely high ticket cost ( $120 for Faith No More ??? ) and that the band was here just recently as well. If there had been a bigger crowd I imagine it would have been a more high energy show

Faith no more was amazing live! The sound was great at the venue.. The only problem is that if you were sitting in the balcony, as we were, you couldnt stand and really get into the show. Who the hell can sit at a rock concert?

    20 years and haven't missed a step

by DarthSlolee on 2015-05-12Sony Centre For The Performing Arts - Toronto

I was there in 1995 for the last Toronto show and was thrilled they were back. And they were back with a VENGEANCE! As they did in '95, they sounded EXACTLY like their recordings. Bang on, great sound and fantastic energy. If you haven't seen FNM live, make sure you do so ASAP as they are killer!
