    Laughed until my face hurt!

by framer on 2015-05-13Sony Centre For The Performing Arts - Toronto

We raised our children on British humour with Monty Python being the best loved. Fawlty Towers is a close second and when the chance came to participate in the 'Dining Experience' it was too good to pass over. The actors portrayed their characters so well you forgot it wasn't the original cast. The food was very good and the other guests at our table were so much fun to be with the whole evening was a fabulous time.

Enjoyed it thoroughly. All of Basil, Sybil and Manuel were so funny. Sybil was especially amazing. THANKS!!!

    Well done, lots of laughs!

by ludwize on 2015-04-22Sony Centre For The Performing Arts - Toronto

As a big fan of Fawlty Towers, had high expectation and have to say that they were met. The whole event had non stop action, be it experiencing first hand scenes and dialogues based on the show, and talk with other guests. All three characters were spot on from the show, look wise, type of humor, and had a few sketches from the show. Would recommend to any fan of Fawlty Towers, and even Monty Pythons (some other guests have mentioned they didn't watch the show but were big fans of the Pythons).

    It was funny but….

by ArsenalFan on 2015-04-19Sony Centre For The Performing Arts - Toronto

This is not the right venue for this event. I would have expected it to be in a smaller, warmer environment. This room was large and impersonal and looked more like a storage room than a dining room. It was cold also. We were seated at tables of 10…way too large a table for proper interaction with your table mates . The food was just OK. I didn't expect grand food, but I didn't expect frozen beans and chicken so dry I couldn't eat it all. The UK meal was coq au vin. This is what I thought would be a better choice. The UK event is in a dining room environment I think this might be why those reviews are so much better. I liked the "show" part and the actors portraying Manuel and Basil were spot-on. I feel that the environment detracted from my enjoyment of the show. The coldness, the size of the tables and the food made this a lesser experience that I expected.

    Faulty Towers

by pmur127 on 2015-04-15Sony Centre For The Performing Arts - Toronto

The meal was okay. But I did not go for the food. The characters were great. Very true to the original Faulty Towers. i would suggest going in a group. Three other people at our table were obnoxiously loud and made hearing hard.

    Faulty Towers The Dining Experience

by Montmart on 2015-04-14Sony Centre For The Performing Arts - Toronto

The actors were totally in character - especially Manuel (although a bit over kill). For the price of the show the meal could of been better, it was over cooked, tasted like rubber and arrived too late. Tables were not all served at the same time so 2 people could be finished their meal almost before others arrived sporatically. Would be weary about going to another "dinner" show.

The acting was impeccable! Basil and Manuel were spot on! Hilarious! My only criticism is that there was no set design to speak of; we were surrounded by black walls and black curtains. I think they could have had some strategically placed pieces of furniture or props to help set the tone (i.e., the Faulty Towers sign, a moosehead, front desk, etc.) I also think that they should have served waldorf salad ;)

    Faulty Towers dinner theatre

by TedT on 2015-04-09Sony Centre For The Performing Arts - Toronto

We had pretty well no idea what to expect. The show did turn out to be a really fun evening. The first half was a bit slow, but the second half made up for it. The actors were skilled in interacting with the crowd, and were clearly good at improvising.

    Enjoyable Evening

by HadfuninToronto on 2015-04-06Sony Centre - Toronto

The actors were spot on! I had no idea what to expect, I thought we were going to a play only to discover that were guests at the Faulty Towers Restaurant! We were greeted in the lobby by Basil who is quick witted and very funny, Manuel and Polly were equally entertaining. We were escorted into the restaurant where the tables were set incorrectly and the service was terrible (this is intentional and part of the experience, so just go with it!) Various skits went on during dinner and it is audience interactive. I usually do not like audience interaction, but I did not feel singled out or uncomfortable in any way, it was all in fun! Each table seats 10, so going with a group would be a lot of fun! It's worth seeing, have fun and enjoy!

    Fun evening but not great

by FuzzyWuzzyWife on 2015-04-03Sony Centre For The Performing Arts - Toronto

The show was enjoyable but the venue was a big disappointment, it was like we were shoved in a sub-standard basement room and given bad food (main course was fine but soup and dessert were terrible) and the room was too full. We were also expecting a bit more of a stage show during dinner rather than just antics among the performers while interacting with the guests and given the number of tables the ability of the actors to engage with the guests was limited. For the price this was not acceptable and I would not recommend. This was part of a weekend getaway for us as we travelled from out of town.
