    Forever tango - a disappointment

by Normateach on 2016-01-25Aventura Arts & Cultural Center - Aventura

We came to the theatre expecting a show like the Excerpt we saw on you tube. But there was very little dancing, no story. It was extremely repetitious. The musicians were excellent, but it became boring after the first few numbers because we had come to SEE a show - dancing.

    majic!

by LanaS42 on 2009-10-26Winter Garden Theatre - Toronto

The first time I went to see Forever tango was 7-8 years ago. It was amazing. I am very happy to see it again.Sound of tango makes you forget about endless and senseless road constraction on Yonge St. Music, passion take your body and soul away into the majic world of tango - it is still the same today- unbeleivable and unforgettable. Until the next time...

    Entertaining afternoon

by MANNO on 2009-10-26Winter Garden Theatre - Toronto

I have been following this show since I saw them first, I believe that was in 1997.I watched the show 6th times with diffrent dancers young and upcoming new company, they all are very good mesmerize the audiences with ther dances. For my money it is a great entertainment and I allways leave the show with very good feelings. I want to thank Tango Forever for introducing us tango lovers to dancing partners Carlos Gavito and Marcella Duran, best dancing couple I ever saw.

    Forever Tango

by Gagnon on 2009-10-25Winter Garden Theatre - Toronto

Hanging on the shirt tails of the original Forever Tango 10 years +ago was fabulous, but this production is a far cry from the original. Yes, there is tango but not fabulous. A lot of filler, eg. solo musicians playing the Tango. " No one danced to that "famous Tango Song". Also Fillers of some reject ........singing in Italian or something like that ,wasting more time. Too much comic Tango......jokesters . Where is the 1930 serious dancers as was in the original performances. Fillers were there, Just wasting time and you were always waiting for that fabulous couple to perform the Tango as in the Original Performances....but never happened... Very Disappointed with the production. I would not recommend it to anyone... Needs to be revamped. This productions needs to keep to " Tango" That's it.....

    Forever Tango, better than ever!

by Randall on 2009-10-23Winter Garden Theatre - Toronto

We found this show different from previous ones, which is a good thing, because variety is always nice. My husband thought he detected strains of Prokoffiev and Tschaikovsky mixed in with Piazzola's music and he found this quite amazing. The dancing was as good as ever. I enjoyed the rhumba and samba dance in addition to all the tango.
