Godspeed You! Black Emperor Tickets

Saw them in Toronto at Danforth in 2015. Was great, they did a song from Don’t Bend which is my fav from them so honestly prob my fav set tho this time it was in Oshawa and it was also great tho I just wish they’d do some older songs but I get they focus on recent or newest material which they actually performed 3 new songs to which I read they got a newer album rumoured to drop in sept. I quickly snagged a copy of Don’t Bend on vinyl for a signature and to my advantage EFRIM is out there tidying up so I asked for him to sign it. Happily he did with a smile. I told him how I saw him last in 2015 @ Danforth, he responds with “yea, this was a better show tonight” lmao

To quote a person I overheard behind me, it was "MIGHTY". It sounded absolutely massive. They didn't play (never hope for that) Lift Yr Skinny Fists which is one the most beautiful pieces of music I know but it was all a captivating treat!

The band is great. I can see why they have a dedicated following of faithful fans. But to no fault of the venue the sound was way too loud. Apparently this is the bands desire and aim to pop our ear drums at all their concerts. We ended up leaving early.

Best damn show I have been to. So euphoric. I haven't been so pleased with a performance in the company of good friends in a long while.

Another incredible show. They're not for everybody, but for me it's like going to church.
