Hank Williams Live 1952 Starring Joe Matheson Tickets

It was what I think being at a show with Hank Williams would be like. It was excellent from beginning to end. I could have watched it all over again.

A wonderful tribute to one of country music great stars. Joe Matheson did a fabulous job! He was true to the man and entertained us from beginning to end! Well worth the money ! The Arden Theatre is such a acoustically formidable place. Not a poor seat in the house!

We loved this show not only for the great vocals but for the story it told. The chats between each song shared moments about a true country legend. They were done with respect to Mr. Williams and a little tongue in cheek to honour a legendary singer from the 1950's. The humour was appreciated as a hard lived life was described through the little vignettes. The moves on stage by Mr. Mathewson were true to Hank's character & entertained us almost as much as the singing. He becomes Hank Williams staying in character through-out the show. Great job!

I took my parents to see Hank Williams. They were pleased to hear some of his old songs and were entertained by the his stories. I was surprised that i knew so many of his songs as well. He did a solid performance! Good singer, good entertainment, great evening! This show was a great value with the meal included.

I felt the Hank character was acted as a nasty womanizer wife hater macho guy!!!!! He had his problems but I'd rather concentrate on his actual talents of singing. He moved pretty good for Hank but just didn't have "the good feelin' guy thing".

The performance of the Hank Williams "live" 1952 show was very good. He sounded very much like Hank and had some good witty lines. The food on the other hand was terrible. Although there was plenty available, the quality, especially of the roast beef was very substandard and disappointing. For a show that would attract mainly seniors, the meal should have had a main course that was not as tough as shoe leather. Many people other than ourselves left their beef on their plates as it was not edible. It would have been preferable to have been able to purchase just the show tickets and not have to combine it with a less than average buffet dinner. It was certainly not worth the cost of the ticket.
