It's a night i won't forget ,I was listening to a band i grew up with, first in black sabbath then Heaven & hell and they did'nt disappoint..
Was good! Cohed, opening act, rocked as well, esp when did "the trooper" by iron maiden! The slow songs by H + H sucked, as they're metal, and slow metal songs tend not to be good, except for Def Leppard and van halen (eg, Hysteria, love Walks In, Foolin'). The fast songs rocked, and had me rockin in the seats (Lots of empty ones for me to run back and forth!) Overall, good show, better than Fray, not as good as Rod Stewart!
Great show! I love this band. The complaints I have are with the venue (no beer sales? At a rock show? Absurd!) and that the band only played for 90 minutes. For the ticket price (I paid full price, prior to the heavily discounted tix went on sale) they should have eliminated the drum solo, and played at least 3 more songs. Dio's voice was massive, Iommi was wonderful, and Geezer, although rooted in place like a tree, was solid as ever.
Great concert. Sound quality at Thunderbird Arena was just amazing and the band was great! Performed a lot of the original Black Sabbath tunes which sounded awesome. Would definitely go see them again.
Better than last time.Great musicians.Geezer is awsome
Heaven and hell was a unique and fullfilling experience for a lifelong sabbath fan. These guys are connsumate professionals who connect with their fans. Dio's voice is amazing for a man his age, vinnie is a powerfull drummer who entertained us with a great solo. Tony's solo was awesome too. The stage was creepy and mysterious as you'd expect. If you love any version of sabbath go see the show, you likely won't see it again.
It is always to a pleasure to see three metal legends in one show and such was the case on Friday night at Thunderbird Arena. Unfortunately it was a small crowd (it looked like it was only half full), but this did not seem to deter the band. As usual, Tony, Geezer and Ronnie did not disappoint. With the exception of a short burst of feedback at one point in the show, the sound was good in my opinion. They played a good mix of old and new and the crowd, though small, seemed into it. I missed Coheed and Cambria unfortunately due to beers at a local pub.
Highly recommended. The show was unfortunately way undersold, but I think that had more to do with the average person not knowing that Heaven and Hell are actually the Dio-era Black Sabbath. Dio was in fine form, bouncing around like a tiny wizard, lots of Devil-Horns etc. Iommi showed why he's written some of the best riffs in Rock and Roll history, Geezer keep it tight, and Vinny Appice provided a solid backbone for the whole thing. Well worth seeing!
I've been waiting some time to see these guys live and it was amazing. Dio can belt it out no problem no synth to extend a howl or make it a higher pitch it was all Dio. Tony Iommi well watching him play makes it look like ripping it up is easy . The concert was great really got the crowd into it and I'd go see em again in a heartbeat.
