About

In describing Henry Rollins, the tendency is to try to squeeze as many labels as possible into a single sentence. "Rollins is many things," says The Washington Post, "diatribist, confessor, provocateur, humorist, even motivational speaker...his is an enthusiastic and engaging chatter." Entertainment Weekly's list includes "Punk Rock icon. Spoken word poet. Actor. Author. DJ. Is there anything this guy can't do?" TV Guide has more concisely called him a "Renaissance Man" but if Henry Rollins could be reduced to a single word, that word would undoubtedly be "workaholic." When he's not traveling, Rollins prefers a to keep a relentless schedule full of work, with gigs as an actor, author, DJ, voice-over artist and TV show host to name a few of the roles that keep his schedule full. Rollins has toured the world as a spoken word artist, as frontman for both Rollins Band and Black Flag and as a solitary traveler with insatiable curiosity, favoring road-less-traveled locales in places such as Nepal, Sri Lanka, Siberia, North Korea, South Sudan and Iran.

    So many stories

by Susie on 2022-06-07Théâtre Corona - Montreal

I knew a little about Henry’s life, as I’ve listened to his podcast. If you are interested in listening to someone talk about his rock and roll life, Henry is the guy. He is down to earth, has a liberal view on things, is a supporter of women, people of color and the LGBTQ community. He always has some hilarious story to tell, one that is hard to believe. Go and see Henry speak, you won’t be disappointed.

The most honest, truthful stuff I heard in a while

by Rafa on 2022-06-06The Danforth Music Hall - Toronto

I`ve been a fan for a handful of years, being the "angry young person" that I am I only discovered Henry`s work just recently and I completely relate to his intensity and overall attitude towards life and other people. To force yourself to do the hard thing that is being nice and trying to understand the other side of most things. This Toronto show was my only opportunity to see the man speak live and I have no regrets, I overpaid for both the ticket and his merch with a smile on my face and I would 100% do it again. I CANNOT recommend his work enough to make it justice. He is one of my biggest inspirations.

    Great show, uncomfortable venue

by Madt on 2022-06-06The Danforth Music Hall - Toronto

Henry always puts on a stellar show, but my god, the seats at the Danforth Music Hall are uncomfortable! They also could have tuned on the wall fans to get the air circulating. Hot, stuffy and a pain in my butt that i will remember for a lifetime! Henry was a delight as always.

    Excellent story teller

by Chris crux on 2022-06-04London Music Hall - London

Henry is a fast talking wizard with an ability to weave stories together without being able to tell where one starts and the other ends. It's a whirlwind of words that will leave you laughing and crying or both at the same time

I didn't think it was possible to love Henry Rollins any more than I already did, but I do. What an incredible and fascinating storyteller. I could have listened to him for another two and a half hours. Please come back soon, Henry. You are a treasure.

    Non stop

by Matthew on 2022-06-03Algonquin Commons Theatre - Ottawa

Henry Rollins was a tour de force. 2.5 hours, and this man barely took a breath in between words let alone a sip of water. He gave us everything we wanted, and more.
